Providing a family home-from-home
My wife and I have both had dogs for the majority of our lives. From a small Coton de Tulear to a working Labrador retriever, we have extensive experience handling dogs of all shapes, sizes and specific needs. We live in East Ardsley, Wakefield in a detached house, with a sizeable, secure garden along with our two small children. My wife works from home 85% of the time and I am fortunate enough to work in an office that encourages bringing our doggo friends to work, that means that your ‘best friend’ will never be alone for too long. As a family we’re quite active and are always out and about.

Our boy has just come back from the best time with Dan and his lovely family. Highly recommend, we will definitely be using his boarding services again. They welcomed Hugo so well and looked after him as if he was their own, and became a part of their family for the week. This was the first time we’ve ever needed care outside of our close friends and family network so we were nervous about using Rover for the first time. Dan put me at ease straight away. So down to earth and takes the time to understand your dog’s needs to make sure their stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I couldn’t recommend Dan and his family enough, all the videos and pictures we were sent showed how much fun Hugo was having as he was always so happy in the photos. Thanks so much Dan and family!
Dan was wonderful. He made me feel so at ease about leaving them for the first time. I was sent lots of pictures of them having fun. He’s really knowledgeable about dogs and they definitely had a home from home experience. Will definitely be booking again
Daniel has looked after my two dogs on several occasions over the last couple of years on a 'home boarding' basis, when I go away on holiday. Both dogs are extremely fussy and also have eye issues which take a lot of looking after and maintenance. He always goes above and beyond with the care he gives. You can see straight away that he is a dog lover and they are made to feel part of his family and get spoiled rotten. He regularly sends photos of them out and about, enjoying themselves and getting lots of treats. I can highly recommend his service and commitment. A trustworthy, reliable service that I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending to other dog owners.

Schedule
My wife mainly works from home and I am fortunate enough to be able to take dogs to work in the office with me! That means that the dogs in our care are never on their own for too long!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a large secure, grassed garden. We live in a spacious 4-bed detached house. We have no pets currently and our two children are very respectful and have grown up around dogs.
A typical day
We will always try to meet the specific exercise needs of your dog. As a family though, we love to go on long walks and live close by to fields and a large reservoir. We also enjoy cuddling up on the sofa and watching movies.
