Dan is a natural cat whisperer. When I met him I had an aloof 12 year old cat, Cooper, who I adopted from a shelter. He was very wary of new people and he just fell in love with Dan. I thought “hey buddy remember who rescued you?!”, but nope he was smitten with Dan. Cooper eventually needed fluids, a special diet and pills twice a day to manage Cushings disease and Dan expertly cared for him until the end at the age of 19. Now we have two young cats and he’s the best cat dad you could ask for, playing with them, making sure they’re happy and healthy and putting their needs first.
