Pet care experience
Trainer/Charity Partner/5★/Verified
I started my pet care journey fostering for an Upstate SC county humane society. I quickly found a niche helping them care for special needs animals; those with behavioral and/or health problems. I continued for years doing this until Covid and semi retiring in Colorado. This is when I decided to take formal training and received my CACTP. I then began working for two multi state dog rescues specializing in large breeds. I specifically focused on great Danes with Dunbar bite scale and rehab needs out of over 16 dogs. I was able to rehabilitate 14 although most of my formal experience is with large breeds, I do have decades of experience with medium and small breeds. I am very active with any dog in my care. Regardless of the weather, I will always find some form of exercise and behavioral training to work on daily.

We had such a wonderful experience with Daniel! They were incredibly warm and welcoming to our pup, and it was obvious they genuinely cared for her. We loved receiving daily updates and pics. We knew she was happy and well cared for while we were away. We will absolutely be using Daniel and his wife for any future needs and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring pet sitters.

Daniel is great! I hope he never quits me …. Lol

Daniel has been wonderful for Hobie! He goes above and beyond and has been a bright spot during a stressful relocation. I was nervous about bringing my sometimes anxious dog to a new place but Daniel has made it so that Hobie is now living his best life and has a new bestie!!! Highly recommend!

Daniell was great! The boys love him. I’ll definitely use Daniel again.

I am a corporate exec and an aviation consultant working on-site and remotely, here in Colorado Springs, CO. So I am home based and able to care for your pet on a flexible basis.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
My wife and I are empty nesters who live on the west side near Garden of Gods. I have a fenced yard, however, I frequently take animals under my care to dog parks, on walking trails, out to dog friendly errands/pubs, and/or to private/secluded “Sniffspot” areas with my own monthly subscription. We have no other pets, but have frequent deer and squirrel visitors.
A typical day
Depending on the social tolerance of the animals in my care, I take dogs to dog parks and/or do special social training at dog friendly areas or I go to more secluded outdoor areas where they can feel comfortable and stress free to off-lease roam and get plenty of exercise and stimulation. While home, I work on other stimulation training to keep them as active as they can tolerate so that when they come home, they’re wiped out.
