I have my own three cats who take up all my time when I'm not out taking care of other people's animals, or otherwise working. I do this and other gig jobs, so my schedule is pretty flexible. The only time I'm usually not available is if I have already made prior commitments.

I treat animals like they are children, because to me, they are. My own three are my favorite people in this world, but I love animals in general. I especially enjoy cats, friendly dogs, and giant rabbits. 😃 I like to treat each cat, dog, rabbit, etc, as the unique personality they are. Some cats, for example, are a little more standoffish than others. The best thing to do with them is to not push them. Nobody cat or human likes someone standing in front of them demanding attention ! Some dogs, for example, are very laid back and really just want to lay next to you and snuggle. Others are always ready to play! I am knowledgeable about safety, and when I am doing a drop in visit, I always keep an eye out for anything that doesn't look right. When I am dog walking, I like to go places that are not so busy with traffic, I keep my attention fully on them, and on everything going on around us. When I am with your animals, they are my first and only priority. I do not mix animals from different families. It's stressful enough that they are around a new person.

I need to have all the information, such as emergency contact, special requests, feeding, etc. I don't so much have a breed preference, as a personality preference. Animals are like people , we and they all have those they get along with, and those that we do not, so I need to meet your cat or dog first.
Ein typischer Tag
With cats, I bring a bag that has wand toys, a rubber ball, and a bird toy. I like to let them chase the wand around, hiding behind a corner, etc. Cats are hunters, and they love it. With dogs, I like to play fetch, usually with a tennis ball or a stick. I do not share tennis balls between dogs as hygiene is always important. If you have a fenced back yard, I like to run around with dogs.

I love Rover! I mean, what better job exists than to get paid to spend time with other people's animals? My name is Dan, and I have been around animals my whole life. Currently I am a cat dad of three girls, but I am also comfortable and familiar with most dogs, rabbits, and other animals as well. Probably the only animals I would not be comfortable with are mice and rats. To each their own, of course. I love to spend time with new animals. Depending of course on how friendly yours are, I like to do more than just feed them and walk them. If your cats or dogs like to play, then I am the person you want.

Daniel was amazing with my baby Kali! He sent pictures during every check-in and stayed for the full 30-minute booking. He made sure to play with her and keep her company while I was gone so she wouldn't feel so lonely! He followed my feeding instructions for her and kept her litterbox clean. He even took out the trash so it wouldn't start smelling by the time I returned. My cat was missing him so much the day I came back! She kept looking for him and wailing & from this I can tell he took good care of her. I can trust him with my cat for any future needs! Great communication and was respectful as well.
Daniel is amazing!!! Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter to watch and take care of my cats! He sent a lot of photos and kept us updated regularly. He really goes above and beyond to make sure your animals are cared for exactly as you wished.

I have known Dan for about twenty years, and I can say that he has always had a gift when it comes to animals. He loves his cat like she is his own daughter, and he has always treated my own cats and dogs like they are children. I highly recommend him.
