I'm Happiest w/ Dogs in My Life
I've had experience with dogs since '02, when my family got our first, beautiful German Shepherd named Maggie. Between myself and the rest of my family, we loved having her so much that within the next few years, we transformed into a three-German Shepherd family, welcoming Loki and Gracie into our home and hearts. It was quite the house full of fun (and lots of dog hair)! I played a passionate part in training all three, starting from a young age, so I'm well-versed with managing super high-energy dogs. Really I just love dogs of any demeanor - high energy, low energy, and even find myself quick friends with dogs of more nervous energy. I'm on a bit of a sabbatical at the moment, so I have been the go-to for lots of my friends, playing the role of "Uncle Dan" for their dogs. I just recently moved to Colorado from Vermont, and the hardest part was not having my family's now-11 y.o. Gracie in my life, so I always welcomed any excuse to help out my friends and have some dog-action in my life!
Qualifications
Ratings and reviews
Daniel is incredible. Often times. His flexibility saved the day and he was always ready to give Buffalo what he needed throughout the day. I couldn’t be more happy with his professionalism and charisma towards both my pup and me. Very tentative and awesome to work with overall.

I cannot recommend Daniel highly enough! From the very first meeting, it was clear how much he genuinely loves and understands dogs. My pup, Buffalo can be a bit shy around new people, but they bonded almost immediately—which speaks volumes. He’s flexible and has dealt with my lack of organization with patience. The best! And reliable!

Dan has always been a dog lover. He has always shown great patience with our dogs and was active in their training. One of our neighbors felt he had a special way with dogs, in their case Berners, and I would have to agree with that. He taught our dogs several fun tricks and we never hesitated to travel knowing that Dan took such great care of our dogs while we were gone. He'll do great with Rover clients!!
Happy to write a testimonial! Dan has always been terrific with dogs - we call him the dog whisperer! Dan has much experience taking care of dogs, including our own and others. We have had 3 German shepherds and got our first one when Dan was 9, and he was always their best play pal. My husband and I travel a lot and are very comfortable leaving them in his care - he’s very responsible and trustworthy, walks them and feeds them twice a day (including medications) and has successfully taken them to the vet when needed. I can highly recommend Dan without any reservations! You’ll love him!

Schedule
As mentioned in my "pet experience" I'm on a bit of a sabbatical right now, so my schedule is basically wide-open. I do not currently have any regular obligations.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I like to make sure that I keep dogs in my care up on their usual routine and schedule - because they totally know what time it is! Whether it's food time, walk time, treat time, pee/poop time, I like to make sure they never feel the need to "tell" me anything. From that perspective, I like to make it seem like "you're home," and nothing is otherwise out of the ordinary. It's not hard for me to love and care for a dog with my whole heart just like you do with yours.
A typical day
Whatever your dog's favorite activities are quickly rub off on me and become my favorite activities, too! It does not matter how random that may be - some of my dogs' favorite activities included chasing leaves, "bobbing for rocks," and leaping for snowballs. However, I always like to maintain a good balance of enough "chill time" based on how much high-energy activity we've had - I don't like to overwork any dog. The same is also true the other way around - we can't have too much couch potato time, either!
