Pet care is already a huge part of my daily life. My family and I run a small home-based rehoming service, so caring for animals is built into my everyday routine 24 hours a day! Between caring for our own dogs, coordinating rescue needs, and helping animals transition into loving homes, I’m very comfortable managing feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, medication routines, playtime, and providing lots of affection and attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care never feels like a chore to me — it’s something I’m passionate about.

Every pet has a different personality and energy level, so I tailor my care to their individual needs. For walks, I make sure dogs get safe, engaging exercise with plenty of time for sniffing, potty breaks, and positive interaction — not just a rushed walk around the block. I pay close attention to leash safety, weather conditions, and each dog’s comfort level. During drop-in visits, I can provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, medication administration if needed, and lots of affection and companionship. I’m also happy to reinforce any routines or training preferences owners already have in place. Because of my experience with animals, I’m very comfortable with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and backgrounds, including shy or anxious pets who may need extra patience and reassurance.

I also like to know any household routines or commands the pet is familiar with so I can keep things consistent while their owner is away. Every pet is unique, and understanding those details ahead of time helps me provide a safe, stress-free, and personalized experience for both pets and their owners.
A typical day
A typical visit with me is focused on keeping pets happy, active, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Depending on each pet’s personality and energy level, our time together may include walks, playtime, fetch, tug-of-war, enrichment games, cuddle time, belly rubs, or simply relaxing companionship for pets who prefer a calmer environment. For dogs who enjoy activity, I love making walks fun and engaging by letting them explore safely, sniff, and burn off energy instead of just doing a quick potty break. For more relaxed or senior pets, I’m equally happy to spend quiet quality time giving attention, reassurance, and affection. During drop-in visits, I also make sure pets stay on their normal routine with feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, medication if needed, and lots of one-on-one attention. I truly enjoy getting to know each animal’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and excited to see me each visit.
