For more than 30 years, animals have been a central part of my life. From rescue work and fostering to professional experience in animal hospitals and shelters, caring for animals is not just something I do. It is who I am. I previously built an extensive review history before stepping away for a time and am now returning to Rover with the same dedication, reliability, and high standards of care. I have experience with puppies and kittens, seniors, special-needs pets, and animals with behavioral sensitivities. I am comfortable administering oral medications and injections, monitoring recovery, reinforcing training routines for dogs, and creating calm, enrichment-focused environments for cats. Dogs respond well to steady leadership and clear communication, while cats thrive with patience and respectful interaction. I take the time to understand each animal’s personality so they feel safe, secure, and understood while you are away. Beyond dogs and cats, I have cared for a wide range of companion animals and small livestock. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, aging, or medically complex, they will receive thoughtful, attentive care that goes well beyond feeding and supervision. You can expect regular photo and video updates and responsive communication, so you always know how your pet is doing.

When house-sitting, my priority is maintaining your pet’s morning and evening routine and your home exactly as you would. I carefully follow your established feeding schedules, medication protocols, exercise patterns, and household rules to ensure consistency and reduce stress for your pet. I am attentive to behavioral changes and early signs of illness or distress, and I communicate promptly if anything seems out of the ordinary. Your pet’s emotional comfort and physical safety always come first. Your home will be treated with the same respect and discretion I expect in my own space. I’m happy to water plants, retrieve mail, manage trash days, and handle other agreed-upon household tasks while you’re away. Reliable, observant, and steady—you can travel knowing things at home are handled.

Many thanks to Dana for watching over our older baby while we traveled. She was in constant contact with us and ensured Nash had all he needed to be comfortable, safe and loved. While this was our first booking with Dana, having her stay in our home with Nash was the only option. Can’t thank Dana enough for putting her life on hold for 12 days to take care of Nash. You are a gift!
Dana was excellent!! Very punctual, followed our directions to keep their routine as close to normal as possible. Sent pictures and written updates. Genuinely cared for their well being. Kept the house clean. A+ service. We are re-booking for another trip we have coming up. We had trouble with a different sitter before, Dana is now our go to sitter whenever we need one. Very impressed!!

Dana was absolutely amazing with our pets. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were forced into our first experience with Rover. I feel so lucky that we were able to connect with Dana and that she had availability to watch our pups. Her communication was amazing. She was very easy to work with. She seemed very comfortable with both personalities of our dogs, which is something considering how different they are. The communication and pictures during our trip were outstanding. I couldn’t recommend Dana more. In fact, we have already sent her profile to some of our closest friends. Thank you so much for all the help!

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I currently specialize in house sitting, with a standard offering of overnight care from 7pm–7am plus check-ins throughout the day. During daytime hours I may step out for errands or appointments, but your pet will always have a warm, attentive presence each night — and your home will stay lived-in and loved while you're away. Think of it this way: for the duration of your booking, your home becomes my home. When I'm not needed elsewhere, I'll be right there — settled in, present, and happy to be. This is house sitting the way it was meant to feel: personal, consistent, and genuinely caring. If you're looking for someone present most or all of the day, ask me about my Constant Care option.
