I organize my schedule to provide consistent, dependable care for each client. Drop-in visits can be scheduled based on your cat’s routine, and I'll provide a detailed update after each visit so you always feel informed and connected. For house-sitting, I stay in your home to maintain a stable, familiar environment for your cat. I treat your home with care and respect, and ensure it remains clean and well looked after throughout your time away. I also offer small household support such as collecting mail and caring for plants, as needed.

I closely observe each cat throughout my time with them and pay attention to any changes in behaviour, appetite, or energy levels. If something seems unusual, I respond thoughtfully and keep the pet parent informed. I never try to rush any interactions, by letting the cat set the pace. Whether that means engaging in play or giving them space to relax, this approach helps build trust providing a stable, low-stress environment where your cat feels comfortable and supported. I focus on allowing them to feel safe and in control of their environment. I follow each client’s instructions closely and take pride in being detail-oriented and reliable. Before leaving at the end of a stay, I ensure that common areas are clean, surfaces are tidied, and any agreed-upon tasks are completed so that clients can return to a comfortable, well-maintained home.

I ask that pet parents provide as much information as possible about their cat’s routine and needs. This includes feeding schedules, dietary requirements, allergies, behavioural notes, favourite treats, and any relevant preferences or sensitivities. Having a clear understanding ahead of time allows me to provide consistent, attentive care that aligns with your cat’s usual environment.
A typical day
A typical day depends on each cat’s personality and routine. I start by checking in on how they’re doing, followed by feeding, fresh water, and any scheduled care. Throughout my time with them, I spend a mix of quiet time and interactive time—whether that’s gentle play, sitting together, or simply keeping them company while they go about their day. I pay close attention to their behaviour and adjust accordingly, making sure they’re comfortable, engaged, and settled. With a lifetime of experience caring for cats, I’ve developed a strong ability to read feline body language and adapt to each cat’s unique personality and needs. I’m experienced with a wide range of care routines, including administering oral medication, maintaining detailed feeding schedules, and keeping litter boxes exceptionally clean while also monitoring for anything out of the ordinary. I pay close attention to each cat’s behaviour and take any changes seriously, ensuring they receive the care they need. When something has required further attention, I’ve acted quickly to support their health and safety. I take pride in providing calm, consistent care that prioritizes a cat’s comfort and minimizes stress.

We found ourselves in a very stressful situation with an overseas trip planned and our darling kitty requiring emergency surgery only one week before we left. Dana to the rescue! She was amazing, a true cat whisperer, keeping us well informed about kitty's recuperation, with photos and videos we will treasure for years to come. Dana is always a fabulous cat sitter. During our most recent trip one of our cats started showing signs of a potential medical emergency. Due to her diligence and care he was treated quickly and is on the mend. Dana handled the situation as if he were her own pet and we couldn’t be more grateful!!

Dana is absolutely amazing, and I would 100% hire her again to cat sit. She is incredibly patient, clean, competent, reliable and trustworthy. I came home to a spotless place, which was such a relief. While I was away, she sent frequent updates, photos, and videos so I always knew how my cat was doing and could see his progress. It took a few days, but with her patience and calm approach, my cat completely came around—it was honestly amazing to watch. You can tell she genuinely cares, and she goes above and beyond. She is the best and I couldn’t recommend her more.
