I’m unable to offer boarding at my home, because dogs aren’t allowed in my building. When dog sitting, I focus solely on your dog(s) and do not divide my time between multiple clients during the scheduled period. Rates and Details: - Rates listed are for dogs with typical care needs. There is no additional charge for administering oral medications. - The Additional Dog Rate applies when both/all dogs have the same schedule and can be walked together. - Rates may be adjusted based on specific needs, logistics, or unique circumstances (and in some cases, may be reduced). - I typically require a 3 or 4 night minimum depending on what i have going on, though I can occasionally accommodate 1–2-night stays. There is no maximum duration. - I’m available for travel anywhere in the world. - My services are for pet care in your home only. I do not offer single drop-in visits (overnight stays are my standard), but if you’d prefer two or more drop-ins throughout the day instead of an overnight, I may be able to accommodate that. Please note the rate would remain the same as an overnight stay.

Information Dana S. would like to know about your pet

I’ve created a shared Google Doc with questions to ensure streamlined and thorough communication — so if we move forward, I’ll send it along and ask you to provide info such as: food/exercise/medication schedule(s), special needs, veterinarian + emergency contact information, any "triggers" I should be sensitive to (i.e. lightening), addresses of favorite parks (and "dog friends" to look out for), etc. Note: Although I do not have experience administering injected medication, I am comfortable doing so if taught how to.

A typical day

I will work around your dogs routine(s) so that they get all of the love, care and exercise they are used to! Always up for a walk anywhere, anytime. Whether it's belly rubs, cuddling, throwing around the ball, walking solo or going to the dog park, I'm game!

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Dana. I work remotely and make my own schedule. I love dogs and also love to get away, so dog-sitting is a natural fit. Having had dogs throughout my entire life, I’m highly experienced and often called upon by friends when dog care is needed. I welcome dog sitting for more than one dog; and I’m comfortable with any age, breed, size, demeanor or special needs. That said, I'm very good with dogs that may be considered more challenging to handle (fears, aggression issues, strong or strong-willed, etc.), because my late dog Zoey (pictured) essentially trained me how to train her. She was a HANDFUL at first but wound up being THE BEST with lots of love, patience and persistence! She also required more hands-on care when she was older, especially as it related to food, medications and getting around. My only limitations are cats, bunnies and multiple birds, due to allergies.

This is the second time I've used Dana and I couldn't be more pleased. Dana is so good with the dogs. She sends pictures everyday and they look happy and content. She is very responsive to texts always responding within a few minutes. I will most certainly use Dana again and would highly recommend her. She's the best!!!

Dana was beyond amazing when she took care of our boy Rangeley and house sat for us over the Christmas holidays! We missed our pup, but we got lots of pictures and check ins which really reassured us. Dana was very organized and her communication with us was excellent. She truly went above and beyond. We would go with no one else for dog sitting!

Dana took such good care of my 2 dogs. They loved her immediately so I felt very comfortable leaving them in her capable hands. Dana sent daily photos which put our minds at ease. I would highly recommend her and will definably book her again.
