I live in a house with a large, securely fenced yard. I've been in animal rescue for many years, so my dogs are accustomed to meeting new dogs and they enjoy welcoming them into our home. I have veterinary tech experience, I can care for special needs and senior dogs. I can give oral or injectable medication, if needed. We will love your dog as if they are our own, so you won't need to worry about them while you are traveling. While you are on vacation, your dog will also be enjoying his/her own vacation. Why I love dog sitting I have loved animals since I was a small child. My first rescue was when I was 13 years old, a cat who had kittens under the neighbors house. My parents allowed me to care for her and her kittens while she was nursing. When the kittens were old enough, my parents arranged for the local non-profit shelter to take her and the kittens so they could be adopted into homes. I cried all the way home, but, I'm thankful for that experience because it taught me that I can help them, love them and then let them go. I've worked in animal rescue in my community for over 25 years as a volunteer, fundraiser, and a founding board member of a very successful non-profit organization in my area. That organization operates a low cost spay/neuter clinic. Currently, I rescue and foster, primarily Boston Terriers, but I will help any dog or cat in need that crosses my path. Meet my pets I have a large fenced back yard. Plenty of room for your dog to romp and play with my dogs. My 3 dogs love to make new friends. Since I rescue dogs, my dogs are accustomed to welcoming new dogs into the house and showing them the ropes. My only house rules are that everyone must get along and potty breaks are outside only. Of course, accidents sometimes happen inside occasionally, I have ceramic tile floors so it's easy to clean up. When I am away from the house all dogs are crated separately for safety. I do work full time Mon-Fri so everyone will be crated while I'm gone. At my house dogs are allowed on the couch but are crated at night. I have vet tech experience so I can care for special needs and senior dogs. I have grooming experience so if you'd like to have your dog bathed, nails trimmed and/or a hair trimmed during his/her stay we can do that, too. We are waiting to hear from you!
