Hello there! My husband and I are a warm and experienced dog-loving couple in Wheaton, Maryland. We'd be delighted to care for your pup while you're away. Our beloved senior rescue dog crossed the rainbow bridge this past March, leaving a significant void. We truly understand the love and bond you share with your dog and the peace of mind that comes with knowing they're in gentle, capable hands. We offer a calm and comfortable environment and are home all day, providing plenty of attention, playtime, and walks in our lovely neighborhood. To ensure a good match and your peace of mind, we'll schedule a brief meet and greet prior to your pup's visit. Consider us your dog's home away from home – we promise lots of cuddles and care!

Dana and Patrick were wonderful with Ollie once again. It’s been a great experience to travel knowing he’s in good hands and the updates make me feel reassured that he’s also having a good time while we are away. We will definitely book with them again in the future when we need care for our dog.
Dana and Patrick were amazing and super communicative. I had so much piece of mind while they had Ollie. Truly the best thing coming back to pick up a happy and clearly well cared for dog after a few days out of town. They will be my go to from now on!
I don’t think we could have asked for a better person than Dana to give our 12 year old dog Maggie so much love, attention, exercise, and new experiences for the 5 days she (and Patrick) had her! She got to eat food out of puzzle dishes and got lots of frozen treats including yogurt which she loved! Lots of photos and updates every day were truly wonderful to see. Maggie didn’t beg for food during their meals, nor did she whine to get something like she does at home. Sorry Dana she whined some after we got home but not too bad. A million thanks to Dana and Patrick for being such great caregivers.
Dana and Patrick are such great sitters. So glad they were available to watch my dog Ginger again!
Dana and Patrick were amazing! They took in my skittish and anxious rescue dog and treated her like their own. I received many photos and videos with morning and evening updates. Mia looked right at home. And they accommodated her quirks with much graciousness. I would not hesitate to leave her with them again. Thank you for taking such good care of Mia!
Our sweet girl loved her stay with Dana — the best care we could ask for! Dana was incredibly thorough and thoughtful, communicating updates regularly and getting our girl out and about! We feel lucky to have found such a great sitter!

Schedule
My husband and I both work from home and are able to take your pup out for multiple strolls. Your dog will have company and enrichment opportunities throughout the entire day. Our senior fur-child crossed the rainbow earlier this year. We do not have any other animals in the home so they will our undivided attention and care.

Safety, trust & environment
We have several dogs gates up on each floor for safety in the event of impromptu zoomies. We are accustomed to lifting smaller (or apprehensive), pups up and down the stairs. :) We also have couch stairs for our small friends who benefit from using stairs to get on and off the couch. There's plenty of calm green spaces, parks, and Wheaton regional park is conveniently located nearby. We are very conscious of giving pups plenty space from dogs they do not know on walks. Your dogs safety and comfort is our biggest priority.
A typical day
We live near a lot of great parks and are always down to play fetch inside or outside depending on the weather! I have plenty of different sized kongs available for a tasty, enriching treat. We enjoy pureeing different dog-friendly flavors of frozen treats for pups. One of the best perks of dog sitting is the couch cuddles. After a long day of walks, playtime, and making sure all their needs are met, there's nothing quite like settling down with couch cuddles before bedtime.
