I work from home during the day and have a somewhat flexible schedule (e.g., mornings, lunch breaks, etc.). I am available most evenings and weekends. I live in Chapel Hill so am usually available in the Triangle area, but occasionally I visit family in the Charlotte area so am available for walking and sitting there as well sometimes.

I have experience house sitting and pet sitting. I treat your home and pets with the utmost respect and care. I believe in providing familiar routines to pets so they feel comfortable while their pet parents are away. I provide lots of genuine affection and play time and can also provide quiet time for rest and comfort for older or shyer pets. I understand how much pets miss their families when they’re not home, so I try to make the time away as easy as possible for all. I am a good communicator and will happily provide updates on your beloved pet’s health and happiness.

Ein typischer Tag
Most dogs warm up to me very quickly, and I think it’s because I pay attention to their cues. I can be playful with pets who are outgoing and active (maybe even rambunctious—LOL!), and I can be gentle and encouraging to shyer, more cautious pets. If your dog likes to throw a ball for 45 minutes, I’m all in to share his joy! If your cat is a cuddler and prefers quiet time, I can settle in for her style, too. Your input as a pet parent is important, too. I think pets are usually most comfortable with their usual routines when they’re missing their family, and it’s my job to make their “summer camp” experience as positive as possible!

I adore animals, especially dogs! I’ve had dogs my entire life and know how to relate to them. I currently have a Sheltie who is the apple of my eye. I have experience sitting for dogs and cats, and I treat each one of them like my own. Taking my cues from each pet, I am playful, gentle, patient, and encouraging. I understand how to read doggie body language and make animals feel at ease, even shy ones. Let’s play! 🐾

Dana was absolutely wonderful with my nervous/attached pup. She was very patient, caring, and creative in getting him to open up and come outside for a walk. Left a sweet detailed note and lots of photos after! Definitely will be booking again for her to take care of my baby!🐕
