Safety, trust & environment
My dogs are crated trained so I will have no problem using of one in your home. If there is a backyard you'd like your dog to have time in I will make sure to supervise them while they get their sniffs in!
Information Dana M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has any special needs such as accommodating their reactivity towards people or other dogs. The majority of my professional and personal experience has been working with reactive dogs.
A typical day
I always allow extra time for dogs to stop and really take in their surroundings. I feel exercise & stimulation are the most important things for a happy, healthy dog, so even if weather gets in the way, we make up for it with playtime inside. I love winning over cats with playtime if that is their thing too!

Pets are my passion!
Pet care experience
My very first job was at a doggie daycare & I’ve been caring for pets ever since! I was a dog walker for a private company in San Francisco & I am a certified dog walker & graduate of the Dog Biz University Dog Walking Academy. I have also fostered many dogs through volunteer work with a local rescue. This has provided me lots of experience on proper dog walking techniques & how to deal with potential triggers on walks with reactive dogs. I have personal experience caring for all types of dogs including puppies, senior dogs, reactive dogs & dogs with special medical needs. I know first hand how hard it can be to find someone you trust to care for your dog, so the main reason I joined Rover is to help make it easier for every owner to find a reliable, trustworthy sitter.

Reviews

Dana was super kind and professional - took wonderful care of my cat, Frankie!
Dana did a wonderful job taking care of our cat and dog. We have a big energetic dog, but Dana gave her great walks and sent us lots of happy photos. She was very responsive and punctual. We really lucked out getting Dana on short notice for an unexpected trip, and would highly recommend!

Dana has been flexible, understanding, and consistent. She put in the time (and the treats) to win over my shy dog in a meet-and-greet, and she is great at knowing how to avoid reactive dogs’ triggers! I’m happy to know my pups are in good hands!
