Safety, trust & environment

I have a large fenced in yard where dogs can romp around and chase sticks or balls. To ensure safety for all pets, I prefer to limit dog-dog interactions to those who are already known to each other. We allow pets to cuddle with us on protective blankets on the couch. We have a crate available for crate trained pets as needed.

Information Dana L. would like to know about your pet

To be able to provide your pup with the best experience, please share your pet's: Feeding schedule, Medication needs, Any reactivity issues (people, children, or pets), Exercise requirements (is your dog happy playing in the back yard or do they need to be walked?), Whether your pup has ever jumped a fence, and Food/treat restrictions (kongs, bully sticks, collagen chews, rawhide, etc). Upon booking we will send over a google form with all of the needed details for a fun and safe stay with us!

A typical day

During the work day, we can of course fit in walks and chasing sticks or balls in the back yard. Treats are available as allowed. If it’s rainy I keep puzzle toys on hand to keep them engaged. On weekends, my husband and I are always keen to take the pups on a hike nearby.

Pet care experience

I have had and cared for dogs for over 20 years. I adopted my own dog in 2010, trained her as a pup, provided her with exercise throughout her most active period, and loved and supported her through her senior years. I recently lost my girl and want to share my love of dogs with other pets. I know how hard it can be to leave a senior pup when travel needs arise. Rest assured that I can provide them with the same care that I showed my girl. I have a flexible schedule for work and can work from home when a pet is in my care. Follow our adventures on instagram at nalas_rover_friends ! We do request that all pet pick ups and drop offs occur by 7 pm. If you’ll be picking up after that we request that you add a day to your reservation. Thanks for understanding!

Dana was incredible! She sent so many pictures, and provided our dogs with fun toys and enrichment during our time away. We could rest easy on our vacation knowing our babies were in extremely capable hands! They can’t wait to return to camp!

Maggie had a great time having a calm day with Dana instead of staying home for our 3 year old daughter’s birthday party (with 12 other 3 year olds!) - Dana was really responsive and very responsible and Maggie was so happy!

My pup Dillon had a great time at Dana’s! After so many visits, he thinks of Dana’s house as his home away from home, and I am completely comfortable knowing he’s so well cared for. 💙
