Hello! My name is Dana and I’m a recent Yale grad working in early education. Moving to California from the East Coast, I was so sad to leave our family dog behind with my parents. I’ve always loved spending time with pets so I am looking to do more of it here as well! As someone whose passion is to work with kids, caretaking brings me so much happiness and fulfillment so I am looking forward to giving all the love to your pets that they deserve!

I treat others’ pets as if they were my own and show them all the love and care they need to feel safe, comfortable, and happy with me. Pet care is about more than just following feeding or walking schedules- to me, it’s about building a relationship with the pet as well! I acknowledge and honor that there is a great level of trust that goes into putting your pet into someone else’s care. I am also conscientious about treating others’ homes and spaces with respect and value open communication!

Dana took amazing care of my cat, Pandan! She kept me updated with thoughtful messages and cute photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. When I got home, everything was spotless: clean litter box, fresh water, full food bowl, and a very content cat. She truly went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Dana is an absolute natural with dogs! I had her watch my dog Peony while I was on vacation, and she went above and beyond to make sure Peony and I were happy. She texted me daily updates and pictures of Peony and made sure to follow my instructions. My neighbors told me they saw Dana walking Peony around our neighborhood and that Peony looked so happy and well taken care of! When I came back home, Peony waited for Dana to come back by the window for a couple of days. Peony really loves Dana! She is the first person I call when I need dogsitting.

Schedule
I teach every weekday until 4:30-5:00pm in Santa Monica. I am looking for clients who are ideally nearby the school or along my commute home to Culver City that I’d be able to drop by after work!
