Dana is currently home *almost* full-time. *Almost* full-time, meaning that she is home full-time apart from attending graduate school classes 2 evenings per week. On evenings when Dana has to go to class, Joel is usually home after completing his day at work. So, your dog will *almost* always have someone here to look after them/keep them company (except for maybe an hour or two in the early evening on Tuesdays and Wednesdays). If we have to leave the house while your dog is here, we will separate your dog from our dogs and from any other dogs in our care by placing them in a secure and comfy spot in another room. We’re flexible and willing to make adjustments to our schedule, as needed, that will meet your dog’s specific needs and make your dog feel comfortable and happy.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fenced-in backyard that your dog can run and play in and use for frequent potty breaks. We have two sweet pups of our own, so your dog will always have friends while they’re here. We can easily take your dog on walks as our neighborhood is very walkable! We have many toys for your dog to play with. Dogs are welcome on furniture in our home, because our dogs are family, and your dog will be treated as family when they are here, too. We do not require dogs to be crate-trained, but we can crate your dog at bedtime if you need us to do so/if your dog is more comfortable that way. If you would like, we will be happy to send you daily updates/pictures of your dog while they are here as well.

Information Dana & Joel A. would like to know about your pet
Before your dog stays with us, we would like to know: -How often does your dog eat, and how much? -Does your dog take any medications? If so, what do they take, and how often is it administered? -Does your dog have any allergies? -Is your dog spayed/neutered? -Is your dog up-to-date on all vaccinations (rabies, DHPP, bordetella)? -Does your dog get along with other dogs? -Where does your dog typically sleep? -Is your dog house-trained (potty-trained)? -Does your dog have any medical conditions or any special needs we should know about? -What else should we know about your dog? -What can we do to make your dog feel comfortable and happy while they are here?
A typical day
Your dog can run and play in our fenced-in backyard, enjoy frequent walks in our very walkable neighborhood, and hang out with our two sweet fur babies while they are here. They are welcome on furniture in our home and can enjoy snuggles/naps on the couch and lots of playtime with our abundance of dog toys.

Caring reliable lifelong dog lovers
Pet care experience
We have been dog “paw-rents” since February 2018. We both grew up in houses/families with dogs, so we both have been caring for dogs ever since we were kids. We adopted our first fur baby, Chance, in 2018. We adopted our newest fur baby, Chandler, in 2021. We are not just dog owners; we are lifelong dog lovers, too! Our dogs are family, and we will treat your dogs like family while they are here, too!
Reviews

Always a pleasure to take Benny to Dana and Joel's, he always seems happy and I can tell he is well taken care off. They send lots of picture too. Great sitters 💕

Dana and Joel send pictures everyday, along with remarks on how Tug and Tank are doing while they are caring for them! Both pups seem to enjoy their visits! So thankful we found someone we trust and feel at completely comfortable leaving them in their care!

Max always enjoys his stay. We get lots of pictures and can rest easy knowing he is taken care of!

Benny always loves going to Dana and Joel's, they take wonderful care of him.
