Hey, I’m Dana! 🐾 An Ohio University alum, I recently left a job in sales to work in digital marketing from home under my own LLC. When I’m not taking meetings, I am looking to fill my time caring for your furry friends! Stuck to no specific work schedule, flexibility is my specialty ⏰ EXPERIENCE: Proud dog mom to my 8-year-old miniature schnauzer/terrier mix, Delilah 🐶 I’ve owned animals my entire life and have felt a connection with them since before I could speak. I’ve spent 15+ years volunteering at animal shelters, walking dogs and looking after pets large and small. In the last two years, I’ve fostered this passion into an animal care and in-home boarding business that my husband and I find such joy and fulfillment in. I have worked with senior dogs 18+ as well as puppies as young as 9 weeks. I also have experience in (and continue to study) basic command training. Reactive? High-energy? Happy to help! WHAT TO EXPECT: Patient, loving care - no matter the service. I truly treat your pet like my own. I am big on communication and believe it’s key in a great care. I provide fun, anecdotal notes for your entertainment (and mine)! I have a knack for photography and guarantee quality photos each Rover card. *Boards can expect a nightly day-in-review! BOARDING: We currently take on 1-2 dogs (in addition to our own) at a time for a more personalized, in-home boarding experience. This ensures your pup gets all our time, toys, and hands-on attention! Twelve minutes from the CMH Airport, we live in a very walkable, suburban neighborhood with a yard and six-foot privacy fence, conveniently up the street from a VCA emergency animal hospital (for your peace of mind). We’re also minutes’ drive to Blendon Woods/Hoover Reservoir, ideal for fun day trips upon request! I currently stay at home with the pups throughout the day and will happily adapt to your pets’ schedules. I ensure daily walk(s) unless otherwise noted. We love boarding and enjoy getting to see our aging girl play like a puppy again!

Dana is such a wonder with our dalmation and border collie! They get so excited when we ask them if they want to go to Dana's. The dogs adore her, as Dana is so kind, compitent and caring. We trust her and know the dogs are in good, safe hands with Dana!
Dana was simply amazing. She went out of her way to take pictures and show our dog extra love. She even visited him when she had an emergency come up! I will 100% be booking with her again!!!!😊

Dana was fantastic monitoring my corgi while away. She was patient with a mistake I made about leaving the wrong key. She gave prompt and detailed updates about the time she spent with Truffles. I appreciated the pictures and care she showed him while I was away. She took the time to make him feel comfortable and I am dearly appreciative. You can definitely depend on Dana and next time I need somebody to watch Truff, I hope I can book her!

It’s important to me that both you and your pup feel safe in my care. I am very patient and accommodating, adapting to each dog’s individual needs and ensuring their comfort.

A typical day
DROP-INS: Stimulation is key! The goal is to reduce boredom and make them feel loved while getting needs met (feel free to provide me preferences or any schedule/routine). Happy to administer meals, meds, fun, or snugs! WALKS: Your usual route of choice will help your dog feel most comfortable with me. I work at their pace, and never leave before water and a treat! If you book the hour and are comfortable, we can enjoy a fun day trip to local parks/walking paths. BOARDS: We provide 1-2 walks daily (weather dependent) and are out back with your pup frequently. I am currently at home throughout the day with the dogs. Stacked with toys, treat mats, enrichment boards, lick mats, balls, frisbees, yard games, splash pads - tons of things to keep your pup stimulated during their stay. Up early and happy to adapt!
