I was a Certified Veterinary Technician for 13 years and pet sat during those years. I am very skilled at all life stages, especially geriatric. I am strong in noticing any symptoms, administration of medications, and performing tasks like nail trims, ear cleaning, etc. I prefer to pick up and drop off your pet(s) so that you can focus on your travels. I do keep my living space private, but send LOTS of pictures when they’re with me.

Schedule
I have a hybrid job that requires me to be in the office 2 days a week. On those office days, I am usually away from home no more than 4 hours. If a pet needs to be let out during those hours, I have a neighbor that would be happy to step in and help as needed.

Safety, trust & environment
While I do prefer to have the pets stay in my home, I encourage sending your little furry friends with a familiar bedding or toy they may love. I was heavily trained in "Fear Free" techniques during my animal hospital days and appreciate keeping this in mind while pet sitting. It can be stressful having their owners and routine changed and I can help with this transition by allowing space if needed, a quiet/dim room to escape to and enticing treats if appetite seems off. I have a fenced in area to run off leash as well as a beautiful neighborhood to go on longer walks. My 3 year old son is home half the time during the weeks and knows boundaries very well while listening to me give directions. Since he was a baby I have taught him the importance of not approaching animals unless allowed due to my experience in the field.
A typical day
If the weather allows, I love walks. Just as I do with kids, I’m on the floor playing with them if they want to! Send their toys or I’ll get out old baby toys that could be fun for dogs and cats!
