Give animals the love they deserve!
Ever since I was a child, dogs and cats have been a massive part of my life. Over the course of my life, I have owned 3 dogs, one of them raised as a puppy, with her twin brother living only a few houses down with a family friend. I have learned over time to pick up on the tricks and cues that make dogs tick (I even enjoy watching animal training videos in my spare time!). Even if a dog is antisocial, I can find a way to work around it. On top of my experience with dogs, I have several years of experience with catsitting - including with three cats that did not get along, so I am well aware of what scenarios I may face. That being said, same with dogs, I am well-versed in picking up their body language and understanding their boundaries. I currently work as a freelance worker after graduating college, so I really can adjust my schedule to you and your pets needs. Send me a message and we can discuss! If I had a general rule for myself, I'd say I'm usually not available till 7AM, and the latest I can do a walk is 9PM. When I'm doing a stop in visit, I want to make sure your pet is lavished with attention - and even when your pet does not want attention, I find that it's important to at least stay in the room with them. Just because an animal isn't cuddly doesn't mean it isn't enjoying your presence!

Dan was timely even given the last minute nature of the walk, he could sense that one of my dogs was more tired than the other, and brought him home and then went back out with the remaining Dog honoring his one hour walk good guy definitely hiring again
Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with Dan. We were away for a week, and the beginning of the booking went fine. About halfway through, Dan would only drop by for 10-15 minutes, although we booked him for 30 minutes and paid a holiday rate. Despite leaving early, he would "clock out" on the app much later, so it looked like he was staying extra. We had asked him to let us know each time he exited, so we could turn on our security system, but that didn’t happen once despite several reminders. Additionally, while the times we booked him for were somewhat flexible, he was nearly two hours late without notice one morning, leaving us wondering if he was even going to show. Other than these issues, we left instructions, but they weren't followed. For example, we asked for Dan to dispose of empty food cans in a certain bin and to empty the bin outside a few times a week. This didn't happen, and we returned to our house smelling awful due to a full bin of old, empty cans. We found an open, unsealed can of cat food in our refrigerator and rotting pieces of cat food in our kitchen sink. We also saw that he used our dish sponge to wipe out cat food cans and put it back to be used for our dishes. We spent the day we arrived home airing out our house and cleaning, despite having cleaned prior to our vacation so that the household would be in order for his booking.

Dependable Dan took great care of our pup while we were out of town.
Dan was incredibly patient with our senior and anxious pups. He was clearly very knowledgable about pet behavioral tendencies and he provided consistent updates that allowed us to enjoy our vacation knowing our pups were getting the exercise and care they needed. Would recommend him to anyone looking for a walker.
Dan was very communicative and caring. Definitely recommend him.
