I'm a professor so I have more flexibility than most people. I work a lot but some of that work I do from home. I'm a morning person so my dogs never had to do much to wake me up in the morning.

A typical day
Get up and take the dog for a short morning walk. I live near the Kralingse bos in Rotterdam and love to go on walks through the forest.

Pet care experience
I've raised multiple dogs in my lifetime. I know how to handle puppies and very old dogs. My dogs have been my family. This means that I always wanted my dogs to be respectful and well behaved but they didn't serve me, they got to be free spirit's at the same time. In short, I believe in a healthy balance between rules and doggy freedom.

My little Akita Inu puppy had an amazing time with Dan! He took great care of him!
Dan took such great care of our Pepper! She was calm and happy when we picked her up. It looks like she had a great time. We also appreciated the daily photos and quick updates. We're sure that she looks forward to seeing him again.
Dan was a great dog sitter for my 2 dogs! He made sure to follow the care instructions and keep their care as close as possible to what we do at home. He sent me picture and video updates everyday showing the fun they were having, which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend Dan as your next dog sitter!
My dog had a great weekend with Dan. I was sent pictures and updates every day which I enjoyed and could tell my dog was very comfortable and happy and his days was filled with fun activities.
