Highlights
Pet care experience
Active & Reliable
I have had dogs and cats for nearly my entire life. Beyond personal experience with many types of pets, I worked in a doggie daycare while in college for about 2 years, administering medication, meals, and interacting with a wide variety of breeds. I studied wildlife biology in college and thus have a great basis of knowledge to reference as well. I am also friends with multiple vets that I could consult if needed. I live in a super dog friendly apartment complex in Slabtown area, it even has a grooming station downstairs that I can make use of for an extra fee!

Dan took great care of our cat Louis. He sent plenty of status updates, and we felt confident in the care Louis received. He was easy to work with and responsive.
Dan was great with Loki! Very communicative and sent plenty of pics. We’d definitely have him sit for us again.
Dan was great Good and clear communication Riley looked like he had a good time Will definitely use him again
Dan took amazing care of our dog while we were away for a week. He made sure Sheena was comfortable, well exercised, and got plenty of attention. He kept us updated with photos and messages. Sheena came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. We would absolutely book with Dan again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring Rover sitter!
Dan is great! He is communicative, friendly and easy to work with. You can tell he really loves animals. I felt completely at ease having Charlie in his care for a long weekend and loved the pics he sent. I arrived home to a very happy pup and will definitely book again. Thank you!

I work from home every day besides Thursdays! On Thursdays, I would be in the office from 8-5 - however, if necessary, I could run home during my hour lunch break at noon to take the dog out for a quick walk.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I live in northwest Portland, and so will be able to serve folks living in that area better, however I am willing to drive further depending. My apartment complex in slabtown is very pet friendly, the neighborhood is very walkable and safe, and my place even has a grooming station downstairs that I can make use of for an extra fee!
A typical day
A typical day would depend on the service requested, as I will cater to your pets’ individual needs. I love to play with dogs and cats that enjoy it, but if they would rather have their space then I’m happy to check in and disturb them as little as possible. While staying at my place, which is a studio apartment with a balcony, I would be spending a lot of time around them as I work from home and frankly just like hanging out with animals. I like to get outside and go for walks often, very active guy, and there are some great parks, including a dedicated dog park, within walking distance of me.
