<<<Before you read further, I start all my services at 11am.>> I have been working with Rover for over ten years, and it is truly as satisfying and fun as you might think it is. I live in West Seattle, and outside of Rover I work as an ELA teacher at a local middle/high school. EDIT: as of August 2026, the school came to a close after 32 years of incredible work, which while sad, means that I have plenty of free time for your pet! I've cared for dogs, cats, chickens, fish, turtles, snakes and a tarantula. I'm responsible, patient and caring, and as long as i'm sitting your pet, my attention will be devoted to your pet. I highly value the nature of the owner-pet connection, and I will do whatever I can to respect that relationship. Your pet's safety and happiness will consistently be held as my number one priority. I'm exceedingly willing to accommodate special requests. I would love the chance to take care of your pet so that you feel as comfortable and happy as possible while they are in my care.

Dan is incredible with our two kitties. He’s watched them several times. We know they are in great hands with him. He always sends great photos of them, so we know they are doing well when we’re away.
Dan was very helpful since I am a first time Rover user. He helped me with everything I needed when I was out of town. I love the photos he took for my cat. I will definitely book him again.
Dan is the best catsitter for my cat! He always expresses his love for Salem and goes out of his way to make sure Salem is stress free!

Schedule
I am open to meeting and walking new friends! I do not start any services until 11am, so if you have midday needs, or even late night visits, I'm here to help

- I would like to know the temperament of the dog, so that i'm prepared to deal with social interactions at parks and such. Any pertinent information about their likes and dislikes is always helpful as well. I house sat for a dog that didn't like to travel south. I'm being serious. It was good to know beforehand that when we went on a walk, that I would have to deal with a dog that would completely shut down when facing and moving south. I like all dog breeds. I've taken care of small toy breeds as well as labs, boxers, pits and Great Danes.
