I am an animal lover and advocate.
My wife and I share our house with a 10-year old Nova Scotian Duck Tolling Retriever, and 3-year old Border Collie. I am a retired public school teacher, have always had a fondness for animals, and have had animals around me all of my adult life. The majority of my clients prefer me to come to their house to provide care for their pets. I can do quick drop-ins, potty breaks, feeding, playing with the pets in the house/yard, or taking dogs on short or long walks/hikes. I can take care of most types of pets: dogs, cats, birds, fish, lizards, horses, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, and/or any other type of pet you may have. If you prefer to have your pet stay in our home that is another option I offer. My wife and I have fostered several dogs in our home for Paws n Hooves so our pets are used to having dogs come and go. Our two dogs get along and love to play with every breed and age of dog. All dogs will be directly under my supervision for the duration of their time while at our home. Please feel free to come and check out the layout of our house and yard before you commit to my in-home services. Whatever your pets needs may be, I’m confident that I can provide them for you. My mission is to take away any issues or concerns owners may have about their pets’ needs and allow them to enjoy their time away from home with confidence that their pet is being well taken care of.

I always have a meet and greet with the owners to go over all directions and details. I also like to get familiar with the animals so it allows for smoother interactions during our time together.

As always Dan is amazing with my two rambunctious cats. He is very attentive and they seem to have taken to him when he visits. Highly recommend Dan if you need quality pet sitting.

Dan has been doing potty breaks/walks here and there for our two dogs for almost 10 months now and he continues to do a great job with them. Both can initially be unsure/nervous with new people and Dan’s calm and kind confidence has been a great match for them. He makes sure they both get exercise and attention and we highly recommend him!

Dan is wonderful and so patient with our shy cats. He went above and beyond when our travel plans got messy, extending his check-ins an extra day on short notice.
Where do I begin... Dan exceeded my expectations and then some. He came over for a meet and greet and one of my cats acted a bit out of character and was defensive/aggressive with him, but Dan was patient, calm and reassured me that everything would be ok. He's a professional and has many years of experience doing this, and it shows. Dan came over exactly when he said he would, was thorough with everything I asked him to do, and provided me timely and thoughtful updates about the visit. I wouldn't hesitate to use Dan for anything pet-related. And I would also give him more money than he is asking via Rover, as his services are way underpriced for what he provides.
