I am freshly new to the city and wanting to make some warm connections involving my passion of animal care and wellbeing. My schedule is very flexible and open at the moment so it’s a perfect chance to explore and work on short notice.

I currently have a studio but would love to house sit and do drop in visits for those in Chicago or near west loop. My goal would be to make the pet as comfortable as possible as well as bonding with the animal and humans involved haha.

I’ve always been surrounded by larger dogs and love their fun loving energy. I’ve met and handled my fair share of puppies and smaller dogs but know that they can be the ones with the biggest personalities. I’d just like to genuinely know their nature if they have any quirks or favorite toys/habits to cope with a new person in general.
A typical day
I enjoy making the pets have enrichment whether it’s for some outdoor activity, playing or rummaging for treats indoors and even listening to some calming music together while we learn new tricks.

Pet care experience
I’ve have ample experience raising dogs- though now I find myself a cat mom of 4 haha! I’m originally from Houston and would volunteer at the rodeo and shelter pretty adamantly. I’d enjoy my time advocating and caring for animals at the shelter and spay/neuter pop up events for those in need. In my neighborhood I managed to TNR over a dozen colony cats in my area and was able to send a couple young ones to happy homes :) Additionally, I have my Fear Free Shelter certification and am CPR and First Aid certified, too. My heart has always had a soft spot for pets and making them feel loved and safe as if they’re my own. My motto has always been there are no bad pets just sticky situations and certain accommodations we need to make to keep them at peace.

Dam is amazing, she took such good care of our girls and even did all of the little silly rituals and routines we have for them. She sent tons of pictures and videos and we could tell they loved her 🥰
Damaris provided tons of updates and photos of my fur babies which I really appreciated. She graciously picked up a pretty last minute request for us and was so kind and helpful. My babies were in great hands and i’ll definitely be reaching out to Damaris again!
