Pet care experience
I use to volunteer at the SPCA on the weekends when I lived in Nevada for a few years. Then I worked for a 24/7 doggy day care facility when I moved to Lake Tahoe with my husband. My husband Adam owned a wooden surfboard shop there, while I started my own pet sitting/dog walking company for a few years, which was so fun and I am still friends with all of the pet owners, and I visit the dogs each time we visit back. In 2016, we decided to travel around with our dog Myles for a bit, and converted a school bus into an RV! We both own our own companies so we’ve always been able to work remote and did the conversion on our own. Eventually we ended up in Nashville and did two house flips with my husband Adams sister and her husband, while still running our craft companies. In 2020 my husband and I moved back here to Illinois, to help his elderly parents, and the family property. We just finished converting one of the barns into a homestead while we are here, and just celebrated our wedding in the property in September. Sadly our dog Myles passed away peacefully last October at the age of almost 17. While my husband and I greatly miss having a dog or pet around, we’re just not quite ready to get another dog yet and we figured Rover would be perfect. I’ve had a very long list of pets throughout my life, from small Pomeranians to a large PitBull lab mix and multiple cats, I haven’t met an animal I didn’t love yet haha. Adam and I live on 8 acres with plenty of room to run and play. Our home is very clean but also very dog friendly aka we love couch snuggles! Because Adam and I both operate our own businesses, we both have separate shops built in the house so we have the luxury of getting to stay home while still working, making our schedules very open and flexible!

Dallas is truly a delight. She has a lovely, friendly personality that put me at ease right away when I met her. She is a detail-oriented person who follows instructions exactly right. Dallas is trustworthy and I do not mind having her in charge of our cat and our house while we are out of town. Our cat is not a friendly cat, but Dallas understands her personality and does not push her in any way. I can tell when my cat is happy with the pet sitter we hired. Our fussy little girl is definitely happy to have Dallas take care of her. I highly recommend Dallas.
Dallas and Adam are the epitome of hospitality! From the moment we met them, they made us feel right at home, even offering us coffee during introductions. Their warmth and accommodation extended to Appa, treating him like one of their own. Their property is a doggy paradise, with ample space for Appa to play and explore. We couldn't have asked for cooler hosts. Definitely booking with them again when we're in the area!
Our dogs loved Dallas and Adam (and we did too). We don’t normally leave our fur babies behind but we felt so safe leaving them with Adam and Dallas and know the dogs enjoyed their time. They got tons of walks on their beautiful property, lots of playtime and plenty of love and snuggles. They are awesome, lovely people and are so happy found them. We have another trip planned and hope our pups can spend it with Dallas and Adam again.

We have a large pet friendly house that is very empty after our lab mix passed away in fall, and for the first time we are completely pet-less. We live on 8 acres in the country with tons of space to run and play and poop and have tons of fun. We are fenced in property but because the property is so big we keep our visitors on leashes. Our home is very clean but also very dog friendly (aka we love couch snuggles and don’t mind sharing our bed haha)

No matter what your dog needs, I am here to accommodate! Whether your dog prefers to run around and play fetch, walk for hours, or is more of a relaxer, I’m here to make your dog feel comfortable! Is your dog a social butterfly and loves going to the dog park, or would they prefer a little more one on one time on our 8 acres of solitude, or a little bit of both! Our house is very dog friendly and dogs are aloud on our couch, or if your furry friend prefers their own bed for naps. I’m here to make their day more fun and comfortable!
