Hi, I’m Dalene! Since I was a child, my life has been dedicated to the health, safety, and happiness of my furry and feathered pets-those of my family members, neighbors, clients, and friends. Over the last 20 years, dogs and cats have been my main priority, and I have successfully cared for dogs of all temperaments and every size, from tiny Chihuahuas to giant breeds. What sets my care apart is my background in pet safety and medical support. I am trained in pet first aid and CPR, giving me the skills to stay calm and act fast in an emergency. I also have experience administering medications, including pills, liquids, and topical treatments. I prioritize reading body language, so l can identify if your pet has an illness, or is anxious and stressed. I know that changes can be stressful for pets, so my goal is to keep their days as normal as possible. When you book with me, I closely follow your established schedule. You will receive frequent updates and total peace of mind knowing your beloved pets are in mature, and knowledgeable hands. I have past volunteer experience working at the Monterey County SPCA, and worked mainly with the dogs, playing with them, taking them for walks, and evaluating new arrivals for adoption. It was so rewarding when they were adopted! I volunteered at the Monterey zoo, and helped care for monkeys, elephants, ferrets, etc. I have a crazy alligator story I will share with you if you ask! 🫣

Safety, trust & environment
At this time, I only care for pets in your home where they are most comfortable, and I will provide a calm environment where they feel safe, nurtured, and loved. Each pet is unique, and I will care for them accordingly. I will send you photos of your pets throughout the day, to give you peace of mind, so you know they are happy and content. Safety is of utmost importance when it comes to your pets, and I’m aware of other dogs when out on a walk, and making sure doors and gates are closed. I will not have houseguests over. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your pets! 😊

Dalene is an amazing pet sitter and pet person! She has a serene presence about her and my pup, a 6 year old Shihtzu named Bella, responds to her. I trust her with my beloved pet and my home. When you meet her, you will feel instantly confident that your special pet family member will be happy with her!
She left the house very clean and the dogs were well cared for! She took them for walks, sent lots of pictures and she was very easy to work with! We appreciate knowing our dogs were well taken care of
Dalene is our dogs’ fairy godmother! They get so excited when she comes to feed and play with them. She notices everything about their little personalities and quirks and they completely trust her. We are so lucky we found her!
Dalene was amazing! She was very caring towards Toby and very flexible with coming in early and leaving late. Would definitely recommend!
Dalene watched my 5 month old golden retriever, Walter, for a two day period and she was great. She kept my lad active and was in constant contact while I was away. Walter was very content and happy when I came home, which is a sign he had the best companionship with Dalene. I cannot recommend her enough.

Schedule
I am a full time pet sitter, so I’ll have plenty of time for belly rubs, playing fetch, relaxing with your pets, long walks, and making sure their needs and routines are met.
