Each pet is unique, and I will care for them accordingly. I will send you photos of your pets throughout the day, to give you peace of mind, so you know they are happy and content. Safety is of utmost importance when it comes to your pets, and I’m aware of other dogs when out on a walk, and making sure doors and gates are closed. I will not have houseguests over. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your pets! 😊

A typical day
I love taking long walks, playing ball with your dog, and giving your dog the much needed attention while you are away. I enjoy relaxing with them when they want to rest, and having them do their commands when they are energetic, and then of course giving them treats! I also like to engage a dog’s mind with activities like puzzle toys, "find it" games where they search for hidden treats, or nose work are great for mental stimulation. I will stay with their routine as close as I can, so they will be relaxed and comfortable while you are away.

Hi, I’m Dalene. I have 35 + years’ experience caring for my furry, feathered, and reptilian friends-those of my neighbors, friends, and clients, and I understand how valuable they are as an important member of your household. I have experience working with disabled pets, senior pets, and administering medication. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, temperaments, and energy. I prioritize reading body language, so I can identify if your pet has an illness, or is anxious and stressed, to ensure their safety, health, and happiness. I have past volunteer experience working at the Monterey County SPCA, and worked mainly with the dogs, playing with them, taking them for walks, and evaluating new arrivals for adoption. It was so rewarding when they were adopted! I volunteered at the Monterey zoo, and helped care for monkeys, elephants, ferrets, etc. I have a crazy alligator story I will share with you if you ask! 🫣

She left the house very clean and the dogs were well cared for! She took them for walks, sent lots of pictures and she was very easy to work with! We appreciate knowing our dogs were well taken care of
Dalene is our dogs’ fairy godmother! They get so excited when she comes to feed and play with them. She notices everything about their little personalities and quirks and they completely trust her. We are so lucky we found her!
