To me it’s important to know the needs of your dog, in terms of their personality, their health conditions, typical routines, allergies/favorites, and the like.
A typical day
A typical day for dog sitting would definitely include some lovin’ belly scratches and butt scratches to get the energy flowing, depending on the personality of the dog, go for some fetch or playing with toys out in the sun, going for a nice walk on sunny days.

I’ve had pets my whole life, I grew up with a black lab named Baxter who’s since passed, as well as 3 cats over the years. One cat was fully in my care for about 2 years before she passed. I currently have 2 cats that are about 12 years old now. I have also petsat for a family friend in the past who had a medium sized, high energy dog.

Dakota was awesome! He was very kind, very reliable and trustworthy. He made our trip less stressful because we knew our 'kids' were safe and taken care of! We will be reaching out to him for our next trip!
In my last few weeks of moving out of Ridgefield, I was busy going back and forth to Tacoma. My girls warmed up to Dakota quickly. Dakota is quick to respond and both times that I needed him were in short notice. He even came to watch my girls one night early when a family emergency occurred. If I were to still live in the area, I would definitely have Dakota watch my girls all the time!!
Dakota is wonderful with our Lil' Princess who suffers from extreme separation anxiety. He walks her, gives her attention and at times just sits with her in her older years. It makes me heart happy knowing her day is broken up and she is not waiting all day for us to return. Highly recommend!!
