Hi everyone! My name is Dakota James (he/him) and I provide in-home and drop in services that are guaranteed to give you a peace of mind while you’re away from your furry companions. I provide exceptional care and work diligently to cater to your pets individual needs, whether they be physical, emotional, and dietary. I have experience with young puppies, adult dogs, elderly pups, and special needs dogs through my experience as a rescue volunteer and former kennel worker. I believe in positive reinforcement to promote good behavior, and am willing to work with you and your dog to change unwanted or negative behaviors while they are in my care. I am sensitive to medical and dietary needs that are brought to my attention, and will provide the best home care to ensure that your pets have a comfortable and pleasant experience. I also have experience with high-energy dogs that require additional exercise and outdoor time, so you don’t have to worry about a sitter that can’t keep up with your pup. * house sitting stays guarantees that I will be staying overnight with your pets, and dropping in on them during the day. Continuous care is an entirely different rate, and guarantees that I will be gone no longer than 2 hours at a time during the day, which is a different rate than the overnight rate. Message me for details and questions :) * I also provide care for tanked/caged animals such as reptiles, rodents, and have experience with livestock/farm animals! Don’t hesitate to shoot me a message to discuss what your needs are regarding pet care! Pet care is part of my daily routine. I myself have a host of reptiles as well as 7 cats, so I understand the importance of being present and diligent. That being said, pet-care has become a full time commitment, and that extends to your animals as well. Your animals’ daily schedule will be kept as similar as possible as to not disrupt their well-being. It’s important to me that your pets are comfortable and well cared for while you’re away.

Rebooked Dakota and was on a week long trip this time. Good updates, love the pics and the videos, and he notified me that my dog may have an allergy that I didn't even notice!
I'm a nervous person, especially hiring people on the internet. I also have a dog with separation anxiety so there were two levels of anxiety going on here lol, but the whole process and communication with Dakota helped. Also loved the pic updates! It's very relieving to have a trustworthy person on hand to trust to watch the dogs. I've heard terrible things about dog boarding, so that was out of the question. Already booked my second trip with Dakota as our sitter. Thank you!!!
Dakota always does a wonderful job. Our fur kiddos love him and he is communicative and clean. Our home always looks how we left it and animals happy.
