I have a fenced yard and with 1 furry pet who we rescued, he is a Doxie - Chihuahua mix named Peanut. My angel old- lady gained her doggy wings this past summer at the age of 16.5 years. Peanut is house trained and sleeps with my daughter. He is a friendly dog who gets along with most dogs. We are comfortable with furry friends that are house trained to be free in our home.

Pet care experience

I am a passionate dog mom. I have cared for dogs for many years. I became a pet-sitter in my teens and have cared for many breeds. My favorite cardio workout is walking. I will walk your dog at our nearby park or in the neighborhood. Routines are important especially feeding, walking, and play time. I have 2 kids who are just as passionate for dogs and will enjoy play time with more furry friends.

Daisy and her daughter were very sweet and kind to us, so it's hard for me to write this but I feel that I must be completely honest in my review. Truthfully I do not believe they were as attentive to my dog's needs as I would have liked. I made note that my 18 year old dog sleeps most of the day so he doesn't require much, but even with the few instructions I had left, I'm not certain if they were followed or communicated between Daisy and her daughter. I mentioned that when he's awake, he still needs basic things like being let out to potty and fed on his usual schedule. Since he's older he also has potty issues so we gave plenty of diapers and pee pads to help with this. Ban-chan was returned to us with his fur and paws covered in his own feces and was in an oblivious, sleepy daze from having excessive doses of Gabapentin, which was something I provided only as an option if he was struggling to sleep and was restless in the night. Not as a solution to keep him sedated all weekend. Daisy informed me that my dog missed his first feeding because he was knocked out from the meds, so I asked her to stop giving him the meds so that he may stabilize and get back on his regular schedule, but it was clear that he was still completely out of it when we picked him up to the point of being limp when we held him. It seems he might have been left in a room for most of his stay with not much attention given to him at all. I don't want to draw conclusions, but unfortunately I did not really receive much communication or updates unless I initiated them so I'm only left to assume this was the case. While I appreciate her readiness to watch him at the last minute, I was a little concerned when she didn't inquire much about his care. I should have arranged to meet and greet before leaving him there, but I was pressed for time so I never got to meet her officially before handing him off in the care of her teenage daughter. Again her daughter was very sweet and assured me that they have cared for older dogs before and that they send lots of pictures and updates to put us at ease, but I didn't receive these things until I asked for them. This was our first time using Rover, so naturally we were very nervous. Unfortunately this experience did not leave a great impression on us. I'm sure Daisy and her daughter are great sitters for dogs that require standard care, but if you have a senior dog or any dog with special needs, it might be better to find someone with more experience.

We are so fortunate to have found Daisy. She was easy to work with and our dog had a great time. Daisy has a very clean home, a fenced in back yard and two loving children. Not to mention her dog Peanut who is now our dog’s bestie. It is nice to know we can travel and know our dog is having a good time too. Thank you Daisy.
