I live in a spacious apartment with plenty of room for pets to feel comfortable and at home, should I care for your furry friend in my home. While I don’t have a yard, I make sure dogs get plenty of outdoor time with 3-4 walks each day. I also understand that every pet has unique needs, routines, and personalities. That’s why I prefer to work closely with pet owners to create a customized care plan - whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in theirs - so each pet receives the attention, exercise, and love they need.

Dahlia was fantastic to work with. She was great at communicating and sent daily updates of our pups while we were out of town. I felt confident our pets were well cared for. She was respectful of our home as well. I would definitely recommend Dahlia for any housesitting and pet needs.
I was so nervous leaving my kitties for the first time. For quite some time, I had a family friend who I counted on for our kitty-care when I traveled. But this person moved away and I needed to find a new trusted sitter. Dahlia did not fail in any capacity. In fact, she went above and beyond. She offered my kitties the utmost care and attention, play time and cuddles. I greatly appreciated the updates she would send me letting me know that my kitties were doing well. It is quite reassuring to know you can have someone to count on when you need to be away... one less travel stress! Dahlia comes highly recommended by me and my kitties!
Dahlia is such a genuine, caring soul who took such amazing care of doggies while we were out of town for an extended period of time. She made sure they had plenty of playtime and attention and we greatly appreciated the updates throughout our trip, checking in and letting us know how they were doing. I recently moved back home to Chicago, from NM, as a multidisciplinary visual artist, offering my flexible schedule and time to pet sitting. Right now, I’m able to accommodate mornings, daytime, evenings, weekends, and even last-minute bookings. Whether you need someone for a quick visit, daily walks, or longer-term care, I’m happy to adjust to your needs and your pet’s routine.

- It’s really helpful to know how your pet reacts in different situations - for example, how they behave around other dogs, new people, or unfamiliar environments. This helps me make sure they’re always safe and comfortable. I also like to know if they have any allergies, medical conditions, or need daily medications, along with how and when those should be given. Their feeding schedule, favorite treats, and any off-limits foods or activities are important, too. Understanding your pet’s routine, personality, and any quirks - like fears (thunder, vacuum cleaners, etc.) or habits (chewing, digging, escaping) — helps me provide the best possible care daily and/or while you're away.
