Living in Leiden, I've built a special bond with many local street-roaming cats, which has only deepened my love and understanding for these amazing creatures. The little things matter: Every 'head bunt' and cheek rub is a sign of trust I cherish. My approach is simple: I let the cat lead. I have noticed that even the more cautious "neighborhood regulars" in Leiden tend to feel comfortable around me. Some have even started waiting for me on my doorstep. I think cats trust me because I am a naturally quiet person and I never try to force an interaction. My Experience & Education: - De Poezenboot (The Cat Boat) in Amsterdam: Volunteer focusing on providing a calm, "low-arousal" presence for senior, blind, and fearful rescue cats. - Fear Free® Shelter Program: Successfully completed certification. - ATN Switzerland (Akademie für Tiernaturheilkunde): Currently undergoing a formal two-year education program to become a certified Feline Behaviorist. This advanced training, combined with my practice at the boat, allows me to understand feline psychobiology and boundaries at a professional level. I apply this knowledge during every visit to ensure your cat’s environmental, behavioral, and emotional needs are fully met.
