I’m an experienced dog owner and volunteer, offering calm, reliable care through walks, drop ins and house sitting. For extra peace of mind, I’m fully insured with Protectivity Pet Business Insurance. I’ve completed dog first aid training, carry a first aid kit on walks and visits, and hold an Enhanced DBS check through my volunteering work. I’m a Samoyed owner (Luna), so I understand how important routine, reassurance and safe handling are. I’ve also volunteered with Essex Therapy Dogs and The Cinnamon Trust for a number of years, giving me experience with dogs of different ages, personalities and needs, including those who benefit from a calmer, gentler approach. I’m happy to help with: • Dog walks tailored to different sizes, ages and energy levels • Drop ins for food, water, toilet breaks, play and company • House sitting, allowing your pets to stay comfortable and relaxed in their own home Above all, I treat every dog as an individual and aim to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible while they’re in my care.

I will always look to care for each pet according to their needs and follow their routine closely (food, walks, play and house rules). I’m calm, patient, and focused on safety. I’m big on clear communication, so you’ll always get updates (and the occasional great photo!). I have also completed a dog first aid training course and will always carry a dog first aid kit with me for visits and walks.

Dafydd was very lovely with our dogs, he was particularly good with our anxious wire haired dachshund who was extremely calm when we returned. He looked after the house. We will definitely re-book with him!

Schedule
Pet care is my main day-to-day commitment and I have a flexible schedule with good availability throughout the week, including weekdays, evenings and weekends. This means I can often work around your dog’s existing routine rather than asking them to adapt to mine. For walks, drop-ins and house sitting, I’m happy to follow your usual feeding, walking and toilet schedule wherever possible. I’ll always agree timings and expectations with you beforehand, so you know exactly what to expect. Multiple visits per day and specific walk times can also be arranged where availability allows. I currently offer care in your dog’s own home and don’t offer boarding.

- Before I meet a dog, it’s really helpful to know a few key things in advance so I can keep them comfortable and safe straight away. Things like their usual routine (feeding, walks, toilet breaks), any health issues or oral medication, and whether they have any anxieties or triggers. I also like to know what they’re like on walks, for example if they pull on the lead, react to other dogs, or need to stay on lead at all times. And lastly the practical bits, like where food/leads are kept, what treats are allowed, any house rules, plus emergency details like your vet and the best contact number while you’re away.
