Passionate Cat and Dog Caretaker
I’ve been around cats and dogs my entire life and have always enjoyed caring for animals. I currently have two cats of my own, and growing up I was surrounded by multiple cats and dogs. At one point, there were nine cats living at my mother’s house! My sisters have also always had multiple dogs, and I continue to help care for and walk their dogs today. I understand that every pet has a different personality. Some animals are energetic and playful, while others are shy, nervous, or prefer to have some space. I’m patient and take the time to let pets become comfortable with me at their own pace. Building trust and making sure an animal feels safe and relaxed is very important to me. When caring for cats, I can provide fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, play with them using their favorite toys, give them attention and companionship, and make sure they are comfortable while you're away. I’m also happy to spend extra time with cats that enjoy company, while respecting cats that are more independent. When caring for dogs, I can take them on walks, let them out into a secure gated yard when available, play fetch or other games with them, and give them plenty of attention and exercise. I’m happy to follow your normal routine and instructions so your dog can maintain as much consistency as possible while you're away. I can also follow specific instructions you provide regarding feeding schedules, where your pet is allowed to go in the house, favorite toys, walking routines, and other preferences. My goal is simple: to treat your pets with the same care, patience, and attention that I would want someone to give my own animals. I’ll do my best to make sure they feel safe, cared for, and comfortable while you're away.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for your pets in your home, I treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I would give my own. Before the first visit, I’m happy to have a meet-and-greet so you can show me your pet’s routine, feeding instructions, favorite activities, where they are allowed to go, and anything else I should know. I pay close attention to doors, gates, fences, and other potential escape routes, especially when entering or leaving the home. I make sure pets have access to fresh water and a safe, comfortable environment, and I follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, playtime, and where your pet should stay. For dogs, I provide safe walks and supervised outdoor time. I keep them on a leash unless you specifically provide a secure fenced area where off-leash play is appropriate. For cats, I make sure doors and windows are secure and give them a calm environment where they can relax and feel comfortable. I’m also respectful of your home. I’ll keep things clean and organized, follow any household instructions you provide, and make sure everything is secure when I leave. I understand that trusting someone with your pets and your home is a big responsibility. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away by providing dependable, attentive, and compassionate care. I'm also willing to send photos and updates to you during visits with your pets.

Cyrus has taken care of my cat several times over the past two years when I was out of town. He is reliable and took great care of my cat who is special to me. Cyrus is completely trustworthy.
My dog loves Cyrus. She wiggles with joy when she sees him, and then she sits calmly on his lap receiving all the petting that he gives her. He takes her outdoors timely, giving her enough potty breaks and he does not rush her. And he respects my specific requests and details in her care giving.
Cyrus is one of the ONLY people I have trusted to care for my many animals over the years when I have had to leave home! I am so grateful for his kindness, reliability, and attention to detail! His calm disposition makes him the perfect sitter for nervous pets. It is comforting to know my babies are in good hands when Cyrus is caring for them! 🩵

I'm currently free to pet sit every weekday so I have plenty of time to take care of your animals. I’m happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so we can go over your pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions.

The more I know about your pet beforehand, the better I can follow their normal routine and give them the care and attention they’re used to.
