Hello! My name is Cyrene, and I’m a lifelong animal lover, foster parent, and rescue owner. I’ve been providing animals with unconditional love for as long as I can remember. Growing up as a farm kid with dogs and training horses were some of the highlights of my childhood, and that passion has only continued to grow over the years. I’ve been walking, sitting, and boarding dogs of all breeds for over 10 years. My journey has taken me from San Francisco and Oakland to Portland, and now here in beautiful Sacramento—and experiencing new places and new dogs continues to be one of my greatest joys in life. Your pup will never be bored during their stay! I typically provide 2–3 outings per day, depending on your dog’s needs and preferences. These may include walks, pup meetups, dog parks, river trips, or hikes—along with plenty of at-home playtime and cuddles. With 8 parks and dog parks plus the riverfront all within 3 miles of my home, your pup and I have lots to explore. I stay very active (weather permitting, of course), but if your dog is more of a “Petflix and Chill” type, that’s absolutely welcome too—complete with belly rubs and relaxation. I pay close attention to each dog’s unique personality, quirks, and individual needs. I’m patient, loving, and a strong believer in positive reinforcement. I also love baking homemade gluten-free, organic dog treats, which most pups are huge fans of! I’m extremely reliable, responsive, and happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can see all the adventures your furry friend is enjoying while in my care. ✨ Add-on available: Bath and brush-out using natural shampoo and conditioner for a low additional price (excluding walks). Can’t say enough lovely things about Cyrene. They are truly dedicated to animals and it shows. Never gives up on my wild baby boy and provides all the love, support and attention that my two fur babies need. This last house sitting went so good! Cyrene even helped me with my house chores that I left pending- even took care of trash and mail. I could not be more appreciative. Highly recommended them for your fur babies care! Ollie had a great time with Cyrene and I felt so much ease even though it was the longest time I'd been away from him. He was relaxed and happy when I came home which says alot. Will definitely book again!
We feel so lucky to have meet Cyrene! We couldn’t have asked for a better dog/ house sitter. Our two boys were well exercised, happy, and VERY loved while we were away. Cyrene went above and beyond providing meds, specific care for two very different personalities and even brought in our packages. Very flexible schedule and gave us such peace of mind we actually enjoyed our trip! Of course we already booked next house visits! THANK YOU SO MUCH for caring for our fur kids.
We are incredibly lucky to have found such a caring and loving doggy care giver! We have two dogs with very different personalities, and Cyrene was able to care for them in the best way. Not only did they follow all our instructions, but they also went above and beyond to ensure our doodles were healthy, happy, and had some outside time/exercised. Our boys are patiently waiting for more Cyrene visits!
As a mama to a high energy, reactive pup, I’m always a bit nervous about leaving her with a new house sitter - but from the very start, Cyrene put me completely at ease. They were proactive, thoughtful, + genuinely caring in every single aspect of care. Just hours before our trip, our pup developed digestive issues - and without missing a beat, Cyrene was able to make all the necessary adjustments to her diet/feeding schedule. Cyrene truly went above and beyond in ways I didn’t even know I needed - and set a whole new bar for what I’ll look for in a sitter. We came home to a calm + happy dog and a house that was even cleaner than when we left. I am SO happy to have found Cyrene - and I'm already looking forward to booking them again for a future trip!

Schedule
Providing care for pups is my fulltime job. I am also an at home macrame artist. I usually work on projects during pup nap time or in the evenings. Dogs are always my first priority.

Safety, trust & environment
In your home, I like to stick as close to your routine as possible. Whatever your pups needs are, I will gladly provide them. I am a very clean and tidy person so your home will be left in clean condition. I don't mind managing any extras you may need while away, like watering plants, trash days, or collecting mail/packages. While in my home, your pup will be cared for as if they were my own. If you have any routines or special requests while away just let me know and I will do my best to meet them.

A typical day
Your pup and I will enjoy a walk (or jog) around some of my favorite places in Sac. There are 8 dog parks within 3miles of my place and plenty of trails that are accessible too! I will definitely pack plenty of treats and water to keep your pup happy and hydrated!
