As an animal lover since a small age, I’ve always been the go-to neighbor and friend to care for other’s beloved pets while they’re away. It’s a bright spot in my day to share some time with furry family members. I love cats, and I’d like to think I’m a bit of a cat whisperer. We have two cats, Bartleby and Butterscotch, both rescues. I understand cats can be timid with new people and need time to feel safe to reveal themselves. I feel I’m good at communicating my intentions and seem to gain their trust quickly through finding just the right way to speak and pet them. Dogs are wonderful companions. I always hate to travel and leave our 5 year old Frenchie named Brutus behind. I had the honor of training him since he was 10 weeks old. Brutus came along right as our senior rescue dog Bill was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and needed daily medication to help treat it and eventually wearing diapers around the clock. Bill was a Yorkie-poodle mix with skin allergies and needed daily medication. I got to experience the senior dog that was slowing down and needing more care while training a high energy puppy. So I’m fully able and ready to care for dogs at any stage of their lives. I’m great at meeting them we’re they’re at and gaining their trust.
