Safety, trust & environment

Every animal has their own schedule and ways to feel comfortable. I really take the Meet and Greet to get know the energy of your pet. I always treat a house I stay at with immense respect. I try very hard to leave things as clean as I found them. I don't even mind watering plants while I'm there. I will treat your home and furry loved ones as I treat my own. Any other small things like taking in mail/packages I have no problem with either. The goal is to make the home feel like it does when you are there, so the pet can feel as relaxed as possible while you're gone.

Information Cynthia C. would like to know about your pet

I don't care what kind of dog you have. I will never be a judger of breeds. It's the same as being racist in my eyes. I love big dogs. My dream dog is a Saint Bernard so I can handle anything. I would like to know before hand if the dog had any medical conditions I needed to be aware of or if I needed to give injects of insulin or anything (which I've done before). Knowing if they're dog friendly or not is also a good thing to know.

A typical day

Priority one will always be your pet. What are they needing/wanting? They need to get some energy out? Play time it is. A lot of the time anxious dogs just have too much energy and nothing to do with it. I can get that out with yard time, fetching and walks around the neighborhood. It sounds simple but getting out that energy is a must. And of course I cuddle as much as I play, even more so. Whatever is their favorite way of love, they will get it. Every pet has their favorite spot to snooze etc, just gotta find it out! And in those moments where they don't need me, I'll still be around doing some art. So I'm always around when they do need me.

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Cynthia Cooper (married), 34, non-smoker. I live in St. Ann, MO. I have my own reliable vehicle. I have a zoo at home, haha. Two dogs, 10 year old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix, Shadow, that was abandoned on our doorstep during a blizzard. Our other dog, Poppy, is our horse of a dog, Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepard mix. We also have 4 cats. Never planned on having 4 cats but here we are, lol. Two ginger boys and two Tortie girls. One of the boys was born without a back paw. The other orange boy is a "wobbly kitty". Cerebellar Hypoplasia is the medical term, but his brain stem didn't develop correctly so his motor functions aren't normal. Wobbly boy with the zoomies is like a blind, drunk bull in a china shop, haha. I love them all. I have the patience to handle multiple animals who all have different needs. I am well used to giving medications and keeping an eye on the body language everyone is giving, etc. I have had a dog grooming job where it is essential to know First Aid for dogs, so your dogs are safe in my hands. My schedule fills up fast these days, a lot of returning clients as well. I have a passion for animals. I truly do love them and will always make sure they are happy and safe. Every pet, like humans, has their own quirks. It just takes patience and compassion to understand; and I'm full of that. I have many clients that have been very happy with my bookings. Please check out my reviews! I have a rare neurological condition called Hemiplegic Migraine so I'll turn down jobs I can't physically handle. I'm now taking medications that have made me the healthiest I've been in a very, very long time. I know my limits and won't take on anything I can't handle. My experience administering medication Very. I've done oral medicines many time and have also injected insulin and other medication. We give our biggest girl monthly injections for her hips.

This is our first time having Cynthia house sit our dog for us. Cynthia is a wonderful sitter! Our dog has separation anxiety and is on a special diet. Cynthia communicated with us when necessary, followed all of our instructions and sent great pictures daily. Our dog felt comfortable with Cynthia and he was well cared for. We would highly recommend her!!
