I've had an animal most of my life. As a child, we raised dachshunds and various strays that came around. As an adult, the dogs I've had were adopted from shelters. Currently, I have a cat only. However, I do volunteer at a local "no kill" shelter walking, loving, playing, cleaning, feeding and loving even more. Treats too!!! I also care for a couple of my clients dogs as well. I work part time as a in-home care aide and a couple of my clients have animals in which they need assistance with. (walking, feeding, vet appts). Animals are interestingly intelligent beings in their own uniqueness. And that character is what has always drawn me to my love of animals and them to me. I also have a degree in psychology. I have worked most of my career with children with various disabilities with the primary focus in behavior development/management. Some of that was in a residential setting and some was within the school system. I believe with my personal and my professional experience that I would be able to give you peace of mind knowing your dog will be cared for as the member of you family just as you care for him/her.
