Pet care experience

Your dog’s second home& best friend

Hi! I’m Cynthia, a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. My journey with pets started at 15, when I cared for my sister’s Rottweiler, Bear. Since then, I’ve worked at a pet store caring for dogs, volunteered with local shelters including Orphans of the Storm, Heartland Animal Shelter, and Border Tails Rescue, and fostered several pups in need. I’ve also opened my home to fosters, including Canelo (an Australian Shepherd mix) and my sweet boy Onyx, who both hold a special place in my heart. While they’ve since crossed the rainbow bridge, I currently have a dog in the home and continue to foster. I’m very mindful about introductions, routines, and making sure all dogs feel safe and comfortable. 🐾 What I Offer: Loving, safe, and structured care for dogs of all sizes Experience with seniors, rescues, and special needs pups Walks, playtime, and plenty of snuggles! I understand how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone else, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I can’t wait to meet your pup and give them the love and care they deserve! 💛

She is extremely caring and understanding. She was patient and took her for walks. I am not too good about writing reviews . Both wife and myself were extremely glad to find Cynthia. When meeting new people my dog sometimes would bark but not with Cynthia. She let her put the to leash on her right away and took for nice walk. She sent us numerous pics showing her very relaxed at her place. We plan to use her again and we couldn't in be happier

Cynthia took care of our energetic 18-month-old Lab for 10 days following an illness, in which she had to finish the last few days of his meds. She was caring and sweet with him and sent videos and pictures the whole time. Would trust our dogs with him again and again!

Schedule

I work from home Monday through Friday and I’m home most weekends, which means your pup will get lots of love and attention throughout the day. My home is calm, quiet, and child-free — perfect for dogs who enjoy a relaxed environment. I’m rarely away for long, and if I do step out, it’s only for quick errands. Your dog will never be left alone for extended periods and will always feel safe and cared for.

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, your dog will always be treated like family. Dogs are welcome to relax on the couch and make themselves comfortable, but I also encourage owners to bring a familiar bed, blanket, or crate to help their pup feel at home. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy going on daily walks, so your dog will get plenty of fresh air and exercise (at their pace and comfort level). Safety is always my top priority — I supervise pets closely indoors and outside, and I only use secure leashes and harnesses on walks. Every dog is unique, so I do my best to follow your routine as closely as possible. Whether that means sticking to specific feeding times, giving extra snuggles, or maintaining training cues, I want your pup to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.

Pets

A typical day

A typical day with me is filled with exercise, play, and plenty of love. I enjoy long walks and let dogs explore at their own pace — whether that means sniffing around the neighborhood or stretching their legs on a longer stroll. If your pup loves fetch or tug-of-war, we’ll spend time playing their favorite games to keep them happy and engaged. I also make sure to balance activity with relaxation. After our walks and playtime, your dog can curl up for some snuggles, enjoy a cozy nap, or just lounge around in a calm, stress-free environment. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved — just like they would at home with you.

To make sure I can provide the best possible care, I like to know a few things about your pup before they stay with me. I’m best suited for small to medium-sized dogs, though I can also accommodate well-mannered larger dogs. I ask that dogs are house-trained and have good leash manners, since walks are a big part of our daily routine. Please let me know if your pup has any special needs, routines, or quirks — the more I know about them, the better I can keep them safe, comfortable, and happy during their stay.
