Do you remember being asked what you wanted to be when you grew up? For several years, my answer was, “A kitty!” I may not have achieved that exact career goal, but I came pretty close—animals have become both my profession and a huge part of my life. I have over 20 years of experience in the pet-care industry, a Veterinary Assistant diploma, and Fear Free certification. My experience includes training puppies and adult dogs, helping condition puppies to become confident and well-rounded, assisting new mothers with their litters, and caring for senior and special-needs pets. For more than nine years, I loved and cared for a dog born without back feet who also had significant allergies. He taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and thinking outside the box when approaching training, mobility and nutrition. My experience extends beyond dogs and cats. I’m also available to care for small animals, reptiles and amphibians, as well as provide freshwater aquarium care and maintenance. Whether your family includes paws, scales, fins or tiny feet, I’ll take the time to learn their individual routine and care requirements.

I provide care in my clients’ homes, where pets can remain comfortable in their familiar environment. A meet-and-greet is an important part of my process so I can meet you and your pets, learn their routine, review home access and discuss veterinary and emergency information before care begins. I follow each household’s instructions closely, respect established boundaries, and pay attention to changes in behaviour, appetite and energy. Walks are handled with safety in mind, and I’m comfortable adapting my approach for shy, nervous, senior, special-needs or reactive pets. Updates and photos can be provided so you know how everyone is doing while you’re away.

Crystal is the only person I trust to look after my dog (and cat) when I'm out of town! After being let down by other dog sitters I will never leave my pets with anyone other than Crystal. She has SO much experience with dogs (and cats lol) and I feel comfortable knowing that my dog is getting the care she needs (walks, food treats, affection, brushing ... everything she needs) while I'm away!
Crystal is amazing!! She was so supportive when we were in the process of getting a puppy. She assisted us with what food to buy, what items we required and she was there for us when we brought Coco home. When Coco sees Crystal she get so excited. Crystal loves dogs and their unique personalities. She is personable, caring and above all loves dogs!
I met Chrystal through a local Pet store where I used to shop at, a few years back. (Where she works at) She's very knowledgeable, friendly and you can tell she has a deep love for animals! Anytime I had a question I knew I could turn to her for help/suggestions. Over time Chrystal became more then that, she is my friend :). My children like her and talk about her all the time! When I was breeding speciality cats she would come over for visits, help me with them..give them lots of love and attention. Chrystal is soft hearted and has a passion for animals. She goes above and beyond for you and your pets. If your looking for a pet sitter or dog walker I definitely recommend Chrystal. She's amazing!
Crystal has been looking after Bray for almost three years now. Bray has stayed with her for overnight visits, a few nights visit and as long as just over three weeks. Bray is always well taken care of and treated as part of Crystal’s family. Crystal is a very caring, competent and loving caregiver. She always looks after Bray as if she was her own fur baby. I always know that Bray is in excellent hands when I am away. I highly recommend Crystal and assure you that your fur babies will be well cared for.
Crystal Young is amazing with dogs. And with people. I would trust her with my dogs absolutely. And i dont leave my dogs with anyone. She would absolutely be an asset!
Crystal has been a fantastic resource in helping with my high anxiety rescue. My dog is scared of a lot of people, but gets so excited to see Crystal, she cant help but pee lol! I've known Crystal for about 5 yrs now and cant think of anyone else I'd trust my pets with.

Schedule
I work a rotating schedule, so my availability varies from week to week. I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks before or after scheduled shifts, with more open availability on my days off. Overnight house-sitting is also available with advance notice. I’ll review dates and timing with you before confirming a booking to ensure I can reliably maintain your pet’s routine.

- Before care begins, I’ll need to know about your pet’s normal routine, personality, medical needs, allergies and feeding schedule. Please share any fears, triggers, reactivity, bite history, escape habits or situations that may make them uncomfortable—even if they seem minor. Honest information helps me provide safer, more compassionate care. I also require current veterinary information, a local emergency contact, clear home-access instructions and details about anyone else who may enter the home during the booking. For aquarium care, I’ll need information about the tank, livestock, feeding, equipment and regular maintenance routine.
