Chasing Tail

There are many reasons why you should choose us as your host family for your dog! I have over 20 years of dog care experience including as a pet sitter, certified dog trainer and volunteer at humane animal rescue. I put a lot of love and work into my passion for dogs and I hope that shows. Please keep reading and check out all the fun photos of the doggies that have become part of my family. I have more on instagram at chasing_tail_bellevue. There is also a $20 off gift voucher for your first booking for with me if you would like to move forward: CRYSTS08913, https://www.rover.com/sit/crystals42 Now, more about me: Providing top notch pet care is what I love to do and I do this full-time. My husband and I are home all day, every day and we work as a team to ensure that any doggy guest feels happy and feels integrated as part of our family life. I have been a pet sitter for over a decade. I am a member of Pet Professional Guild (PPG) and I adhere to the guiding principles for pet care, focusing on each pet’s physical, mental, environmental and nutritional well-being adhering to a holistic approach to the care and training of family pets. Your dog becomes part of our pack, we become their second family and our house is their fun, holiday home away from home! If your dog adores being around people, kids and other dogs and participating in plenty of enrichment activities - this is the place! I am also a professional, certified dog trainer (CPDT-KA) and have worked extensively with different dog breeds and life stages. I have trained dogs privately with families, taught classes at highly regarded dog training schools and worked also as a volunteer and employee to help rehabilitate doggies at Animal Rescue shelters to place them in new homes. I am excited about helping you out with any dog and puppy care needs you may have. I have extensive experience training and raising dogs using positive reinforcement training methods and have great success with marker/clicker training. I am happy to be a resource for you to assist in any puppy socialization, house training and general obedience needs that you may have. I specialize in puppies and “too much energy” is never a problem - we welcome it! We have a fully fenced property of an acre of lawn, trees, obstacles, nature, garden beds that dogs have access to throughout the day. We are across the road from a lake with beautiful winding trails as well as within 5 minutes walking distance of two dog parks and reserved park lands. A great place for doggy daycare or overnight boarding haven and an awesome location for exploration! Our home is extremely dog friendly and we come equipped with plenty of dog treats, puzzles, beds and toys. We believe in keeping puppies and dogs all mentally engaged, physically active, feeling part of our family pact and happy in their "vacation home". Dog sitting and raising puppies is what I do full-time. I offer puppy socialization sessions, doggy daycare and overnight boarding. We start with a phone call to connect for sharing more about ourselves. You have the opportunity to ask questions and I can learn more about your dog. Assuming it sounds like a good fit and we want to move forward, we can start with a trial stay. I have toy also fill out a pet questionnaire which gives me a snap shot into the day to day habits and routine of your puppy/dog and also verifying any idiosyncrasies(!), allergies or medication needs (I am comfortable and trained in administering medication). I truly want to make sure this will be a great fit for you and your dog while you are away. My priority is for each puppy or dog is to always have a very positive and fun experience at my home and to make his time away from home also a fun, active vacation. This makes it easier to enjoy your vacation :)

Crystal is incredible and our pup Kagi absolutely loved her 2 week stay with her. Not only did Kagi have a blast playing with other dogs and Crystal's family, Crystal helped Kagi improve her settling and greeting skills while they were together. We received daily updates and deeply appreciated Crystal's communication and care. She clearly loves dogs and has deep knowledge of dog training/behavior.

Crystal and her family took very good care of Mitsu while we were away. She helped us building better routine for Mitsu and kept her entertained with activities and puzzles. She provided very detailed report on Mitsu’s progress during her stay every single day. Appreciate your love for Mitsu. Thank you so much Crystal!!!

Crystal’s offers so much more than just dog sitting and boarding - her place is my dog’s home away from home. He LOVES spending time with her and her family and returns happy, healthy and exhausted (from all the play time fun he has had) from his stays. As a busy dog mom who has to do some work travel it gives me so much joy and peace of mind to have found a sitter of this caliber. Highly recommended!

Safety, trust & environment

Safety, trust & Environment We have a fantastic dog friendly home and a large fully fenced garden - almost an acre! - that caters to making your dog’s stay with us safe and fun. Our fences are 8 feet high, tree trunks are lined up on the fence bottom to prevent diggers. Any entry or exit to our home has a double gate to prevent even the sneakiest of puppies from getting out. But the ultimate way to keep pups safe is close supervision. I have over 20 years of experience working, raising and training dogs so I am well versed with knowing how to make a doggy guest feel right at home, loved and busy!

A typical day

Describe a typical day: Every dog is different and we work together to shape what their typical day looks like here. The pups that do well here are those that thrive on social activity, being part of our family and enjoy their time with our kids and other dogs. As all my clients can attest, your dog will never lack for physical activities and mental stimulation here! If they enjoy running around, playing games, nose work and working on puzzles, this is a fun place for them We also host older, senior dogs who love to snuggle. These, my husband specializes in. His home office is the perfect place to snooze and in the warm Summer months, we have a beautiful deck with daybeds overlooking the lake for doggies to sun bathe and enjoy!

Important to know ahead of time ** All puppies and dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, including bordatella and flea treatments. Recent fecal tests results are also encouraged but not required, however if your puppy/dog has runny stool, please be advised that I will not be able to take them. I take the quality of dog care I provide very seriously and I always do my best to ensure that your pups will return as happy and healthy to you as you left them! Thank you in advance! ADDITIONAL COSTS ** Boarding is a time period of up to 24 hours from drop off time. You can also add flexibility for an earlier or later drop off/pick up by adding daycare. For example, if you drop your dog off at 9am and want to pick your dog up 5pm the next day, it is charged as 1 night + 1 day. ** Training is NOT included as part of the boarding or daycare rate though of course, I am happy to reinforce all the training you have worked hard on them with at home. As part of their stay here, I am always also willing to offer advice and troubleshoot on any behaviors you are focusing on at home through my interactions and time with them. ** Grooming is not included as part of their regular boarding rate. If you want any grooming (bathing, brush outs, ears, teeth or nail trims), we can coordinate ahead of time about your needs. For doodle breeds with longer hair (and not a puppy cut), I would definitely recommend touching base about this!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
