Availability
Working with pets and taking care of them, mine and yours, is my full time job. My schedule is flexible but I teach group classes and private lessons in Seattle which doesn’t allow me to provide continuous care without being scheduled out in advance. Excluding emergencies, I give at least two week notices for any interruptions to repeat services.

Information Crystal M. would like to know about your pet
Seeing the whole picture is always important in improving wellness for everyone. I would like to know any and everything about you and your pets needs for my time with them. I don't judge dogs or cats for behavior in a poor light because ultimately behavior is the communication part of the bigger picture: environmental triggers, behavior, consequence.
A typical day
For each session I try to improve or address both physical and mental needs. Physical needs include going to the bathroom, food, water, exercise, and looking out for health concerns. Many big health problems start with small factors or indicators. Mental needs include mental exercise, natural instincts outlets, social interaction, and overall mental wellness. Lacking in mental wellbeing has a huge impact in your pet's quality of life and health. Chronic and situational stress can cause health issues. That's why I focus on both needs. I evaluate each pet in addition to routine and past baseline from pet parents to what they need. Some needs include: -Fun activities for play and exercise: fetch, playing with toys. -Decompression activities like sniffari (sniff+safari) walks or find it games. -Relaxing activities like belly rubs and pet massages. -Training activities to strengthen wanted behaviors as well as to build trust and understanding. Your pet is always learning. Every moment and interaction changes to some degree their view of the future. I want to make sure they always learn I am a safe and fun person to be around. I would be happy to discuss your pets needs and my plan to address them.

Reviews

We returned home to calm happy dogs. Chrystal took great care of Mica and Teddy. Dogs even seem better behaved. She sent us lots of photos and videos of the dogs having fun that were really nice to receive.

Crystal watched our dog in our home for a week long unexpected trip. She was an excellent communicator and took amazing care of our dog and our space. She was reliable, gave enough photos and updates that we knew our dog was okay while we were away. Our dog was happy, relaxed, and content when we returned, he was in great hands! She was able to care for our energetic, dog and human reactive doggo and communicated any needs right away. Thank you so much!

Crystal is really experienced and responsible. She makes me enjoy my trip without worrying about my cat at home. She also helps find out problem and communicate immediately. She is really flexible with the changes as well. I highly recommend her for everyone!

Crystal is amazing, my cats love her and she is so reliable and goes above and beyond with giving them attention and she had earnest care and concern to verify their robot feeders were dispensing food as expected. Her pictures and updates were so comforting on a prior trip that I felt secure this time to leave communication between her and my mom so I could turn my phone off for a meditation retreat. I am so thankful for you Crystal!
