An outdoorsy dog loving cat mom!
I am a very active individual who works from home and has lots of availability to care for your pets! With a background in Zoology, I have a deep love for animals of all kinds! I’ve owned a husky shepherd in the past, I currently have two cats and have been caring for and being around animals since I was a kid. I love walking and running with dogs on local trails and can also do leash walks and park plays. I’ve fostered puppies in the past, and have cared for dogs of all ages and breeds.

Crysta took great care of our two dachshunds while we were in Port Alberni for a trail race. Took them or a walk and gave them lots of time outside in her backyard! She was very responsive and easy to organize with! Would definitely recommend!
Crysta stayed in my home to watch my senior dog Pearl for the week. Because Pearl is reactive to other dogs and quite large (100lbs) I'm often hesitant to leave her with someone new. Crysta put my mind at complete ease after she met with Pearl and told me of her experience walking larger dogs. When I came home Pearl was completely happy, her coat was shiny and brushed, and my home was exactly as I left it - maybe even a little more clean! Would hire Crysta again in a heartbeat. Communication was great!
Crysta was great with my senior lab Pearl! Crysta had a meet and greet before the drop in and both myself and my dog were very comfortable with her! She was flexible and understanding of a last minute plan change. Would definitely get Crysta to drop in on Pearl again :)
Crysta is a very responsible and caring individual. She looked after our senior lab during a short trip. It was our first time leaving her in someone else’s care overnight and we could not be happier. Communication was great from start to finish. We highly recommend Crysta’s services.

Schedule
I have a hybrid work schedule allowing me to often work from home in Port Alberni. I have a fenced in yard and I’m able to provide great and thorough care during the work day and evenings. On the days I work from home, your pups can enjoy outside time as long as they like while supervised. I often take run or walk breaks during the day which I love having dog company for! Flexible hours also allows me to take work breaks to fit your schedule and needs.

I have a fenced yard which is great for dogs who visit or come to stay. I do have two cats so I am more keen to board and dog sit pups that are good with cats. I do have the ability to separate a dog from the cats for shorter stays. My partner and friends have dogs and this is a very dog friendly home. I understand the importance of keeping things pets shouldn’t have access to put away, while ensuring they have all the cozy comforts they need. I also have a Google Nest camera in my home allowing me to keep an eye on the pets whenever I’m out of the house. That and thorough security systems ensure your pets are safe with me.

A typical day
I love to play with dogs indoors, outdoors and on trails and near the water. I am active and in shape so I can take dogs for jogs, swims, etc. I also love taking dogs camping, playing fetch, and hiking. I also have friends with dogs so can get pups together for play dates.
