Our black lab, Pookie, was 11 years old when she passed away. My son was very attached to her and just can't live without another dog around our house! We miss her dearly, but we thought that working with Rover and helping other dogs and their owners would be a great solution to our desire to have a pup around the house. I know in my heart of hearts that having another dog around the house will make all of us happy! I have two young children and if your pup stays with us, it will be a family affair! My kids love being involved in everything I do and they love all kinds of animals (and insects!). I grew up in Romania where there were a lot of stray dogs and as a child, I always tried to help all dogs I saw on the streets. Because of this, I try to teach my kids every day to be kind to everyone but especially animals, because animals can't always defend themselves like people can. Years ago, I worked for someone who bred Labradors Retrievers and I took care of more than 60 dogs at that time. I also have taken care of various friends’ dogs that range in breed and size from tiny to large. I’m looking forward to using my background with dogs in a professional manner by working with Rover. When it comes to caring for your pup, I am up for playtime, walking or just hanging out and cuddling. The kids and I like to go for walks around the neighborhood or on the weekend, we take family hikes or look for a new restaurant to check out. We live in a single family home with plenty of space and a nice big fenced-in backyard and front yard. I have a flexible schedule and I am home most of the day, so whatever your pup needs I am happy to provide! I am a stay at home mom. I usually leave my house to take the kids to school, grocery shopping and small errands around the house. Your pup won't stay home alone for longer than 2-3 hours. I have a pretty good size fenced-in back and front yard and plenty of room inside my house if your dog needs to be in his/her crate.
