I have used Rover 4 times now, and the previous stays were excellent, and my previous reviews show that. However, this one did not meet the high standards I had previously experienced. To begin with I was not shown the space where my dog would be staying, when I arrived I was met in the driveway, told to leave his gear on the porch and to bring him to the backyard. When I went to pick him up I was again met in the driveway, and handed his gear. Upon drop off, I tried to initiate conversation telling her about my dog, his likes, dislikes, allergies, but the conversation was pretty one sided and quite awkward, I should have trusted my gut at that point and not left him there. The two parts that I found very frustrating is that she told me he didn't really eat when there, which is normal for him when traveling. But when I opened his food bucket over 1/2 of it was gone. We were on a several day trip (he was only at this rover for two meals) and that food had been measured out to last the whole time. I know he doesn't eat much when traveling, so I'm guessing that someone else's dog must have really enjoyed my dog's food. For the next two days, he had florescent orange poop, so I don't know what he was fed while there but it wasn't the food I brought. Also, when I picked him up, since I was handed his gear on the porch I didn't open it up and check if everything was there, I thought that was too awkward to do in front of the person. But now I wish I did. His two favorite toys were missing. I asked for them to be sent because one is not replaceable, I was told they were mailed the next day, but it's been 2 1/2 weeks and the package still hasn't arrived, so I'm guessing they were never mailed. The one is replaceable but the other is no longer available at the store I purchased it at. When Frankie got in the car to leave, his anxiety was through the roof. Every other time I've picked him up from a Rover he sleeps all the way home because he has had so much fun and is wore out. But this time he was a ball of anxiety, whimpering, whiny, unable to settle down. It just about broke my heart to know I had picked a situation that caused this. It took him close to 6 hours to settle down and relax. I don't know what happened while he was there, but I will NEVER take him back there again. To be honest, I find it very difficult to write bad reviews, usually I would just not say anything, but seeing how stressed out Frankie was when I picked him up I knew I had to speak up so no other dog has to experience whatever it was that Frankie experienced.

Winnie had a great time staying with Christina, even sent me pictures/updates! Highly recommend as I will be a repeat customer ?

Rambo is a 17yr old chuauawa that likes no one. When we dropped him off, he seemed to know he was in a dog lovers home. When we picked him up he was happily walking in the grass. He was in no hurry to get in the car. Christine kept us up to date each day, and sent pictures. Next time we stay in Brainerd, we are definitely booking with her.

This was my first time using Rover and I am so thankful I picked Cristina! Myla loved playing all weekend and Cristina made sure to send me pictures! I definitely recommend Cristina for your pet. She made Myla feel at home and was always quick to respond to messages. We will be back!
