Home away from home for your dog!
My wife and I have enjoyed and taken care of dogs all of our lives, and since retirement, we both have more time and love to give to your dog. Being a part of Rover gives us the flexibility in scheduling that will work best for everyone. As active retirees, we have plenty of time and space for a dog to visit/stay overnight. Of course, we love dogs and look forward to meeting yours! We have many favorite walking routes to share with your dog. We have a large fenced in backyard and a swimming pool available if your dog likes to take a dip. Your dog is sure to get all the attention he/she desires and to come home happy, healthy, and ideally exercised/challenged.

Craig and Sally were such a blessing to our family while we were gone. Mollie is a young and energetic pup and they were able to keep her active which means she stayed out of trouble!! I think Mollie came home better trained than she was when we dropped her off! This was our first time using Rover and we are telling everyone about how great it went. We appreciated the update on how well Mollie was doing and it made our vacation that much better! What a great experience and we can’t wait to book a stay with them again.

I am so thrilled to have found Craig and Sally. Mitzi was the happiest I've ever seen her after an overnight with a sitter. She was si well loved and cared for. Highly recommend and Mitzi will certainly be back!
Benji had the best time with Craig and his wife. We are so happy that they were able to watch Benji while we were away. He came home happy. It meant a lot to know that Benji was going to be well cared for!

Schedule
We are both retired so we have time for walks, play whatever is needed during the day. We love doing dog sitting and walks etc. we do take dogs up to 75 pounds

We have a fenced yard which has a pool. We allow dogs in for a swim if they wish and the owner is ok with that.
A typical day
With the owner's permission and a responsive and receptive dog, we might make a trip to the West Des Moines Dog park for a run and socialization with other dogs. Other good options include a walk around Blue Heron Lake, through Brown's Woods, or around the West Des Moines Library pond for smaller dogs.
