I have many years of global house/pet sitting experience on other sites but am new to Rover. I will be back in the Seattle area from the beginning of October 2026 and will be house sitting until at least September 2027. I have already completed the following house/pet sitting trips: April/May 2023 San Francisco/Bay Area. 5 housesits, cats, dogs, birds and fish, indoor plants, garden. September/October 2023 L.A./Orange County. I took care of 2 homes, dogs, cats, fish, indoor plants, large garden. February/April 2024 Seattle area. 5 housesits, dogs, cats, indoor plants, backyards, garden. July/August 2024 Hvar, Croatia. 1 housesit. Dog, indoor/outdoor plants. September/October 2024. Kailua, Hawaii. I took care of 1 home, 2 cats, 1 very large dog, indoor/outdoor plants. Large garden. February/May 2025. San Francisco/San Diego. I took care of 5 homes, 6 cats, indoor/outdoor plants, backyard and gardens July 2025. Mallorca, Spain. I sat for an amazing home with two large dogs, an extremely large orchard, a very large garden as well as a nursery. September 2025. Corfu, Greece. I sat for a 350 year old original Greek stone home with 8 cats, 2 dogs, a very large garden and exotic plants. November 2025-March 2026. Seattle, Washington. I sat for 7 homes, 3 very large dogs, 10 cats, indoor/outdoor plants as well as 2 large gardens. Confirmed, upcoming sits. July 2026. Estepona, Spain. 3 week sit for a large home. 2 dogs, 1 cat, very large orchard and garden. August 2026. Malaga, Spain. 2 week sit for 2 cats. 200 year old historical flat in the centre of Malaga. October 2026-September 2027 Seattle area. I already have 2 confirmed housesits and am currently interviewing for more. One of the benefits of the area that I live is that we are surrounded by nature so there are many animals here. Sometimes when I open my front door in the morning there are deer in front of my gate waiting to see what will happen at breakfast time. Travel/Work/experience: 1993-1994 Worked for a historical museum in Ukraine. Was responsible for finding and conducting video interviews with Ukrainian Holocaust survivors. Specifically we were looking for survivors of Einsatzgruppen events. 1994-1995 High school History/English teacher in Bratislava, Slovakia. 1995-1997 Teacher and then manager of a private language school in Moscow, Russia. 1997-1998 Manager of a bar/restaurant, Koh Samet, Thailand. I ran a beachfront bar with 15 bungalows and a small restaurant. Was responsible for all operations, payroll, staffing etc. 50-100 customers daily. 1998-1999 History/English instructor for City University of Seattle. 1999-2002 Worked as a deckhand in Alaska on Salmon and Crab boats. Yes, exactly as in the Deadliest Catch but 7 years before the show started. Was on my boat each year for between 8-10 months. 2002-present. Owner of a private Language School. I have slowly grown my school into one of the largest language schools in Slovakia. I currently have a staff of over 50 teachers teaching English, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Italian as well as Slovak for the many foreign managers living and working in multinational companies. My school cooperates with most of the large multinational companies in the area. I also cooperate quite closely with the local and state police departments as well as the mayor and city council all of whom are my students.

1st of all I LOVE ANIMALS! Our home in Slovakia is located up on the hill in the woods overlooking the lake. We have a large orchard and our nearest neighbor is about 300 m from us. We currently have 7 cats in various phases of either living, hanging out, or adding us to their busy social/feeding routine. During the Summer I take care of 2 friends' homes so I take care of their dogs, cats, fish, and even a very old turtle. as well. I travel to the U.S. regularly to visit friends/family each and this website is a perfect fit for my lifestyle as I manage my school remotely. To be quite honest, for all of the travelling I have done over the past 30 years, I have not travelled nor experienced the U.S. much which is another reason I have joined this website. I thought it would be a great way to see the U.S. as well as spend time with lots of great pets! I could take you anywhere you wanted on the Budapest metro blindfolded but have never been to Washington D.C. for example. Please feel free to contact me so we can speak in person about your pets, home and your requirements.

Craig came to our home for an extended period of time, approximately the whole month. He maintained, cared for, and chatted it up with the neighbors seamlessly, as if he was a member of the family. He cared for my cat, of course, in such a way that he often teased about if you ever find the cat gone, 'I took her.' He got it ! Our Boots. He cared for my plants, even taught me some tips I did not know. He was very patient with us when the hot water heater decided to give it up after 22 years, as we needed to coordinatie workmen to come and replace it during his visit. We would have no qualms about having Craig sit and our home that the cat is just a part of. For me, it's the whole package. One would not be disappointed in Craig as a choice.
Craig took care of my cat Xena for 3 weeks last year. Craig was very into befriending my shy kitty and won her over in no time. I have a ring camera and heard him greet her sweetly whenever he arrived. House was also in good shape and would heartily recommend!
If you are looking for a responsible sitter who will treat your pet like the royalty they are, look no further! Craig has cat- and house-sat for me during two long trips (~2 months). He sent excellent updates about how things were going, it was clear from all photos and video that my cat adores him, and he took excellent care of my home as well. I have tremendous peace of mind when he is staying at my place. Craig is also a very friendly guy, very flexible about anything that might come up, and proactive with communication before, during and after the sit. I highly recommend him for your pet-sitting needs!
WOW! Craig's is welcome ANY time, even if we don't need a sitter. He took terrific care of Puccini, who was just a few days past pretty invasive dental work and feeling a bit poorly still. They hung out together and were seemingly inseparable. He sent videos every day, not just pix, which were a great view into their days and gave us both comfort and entertainment. Thank you Craig, you are welcome ANY Time!
Craig looked after our cats while we were out of the country for two weeks. He did a great job in following our instructions and was very communicative and inquisitive, making sure safety was in mind for our house and cats. He made sure there were good communication channels while travelling internationally. He sent us videos and made sure the cats were well attended to including interacting with them regularly and making sure they were active and entertained. He put up with their troublemaking and was very kind and understanding to any eccentricities they had. Would certainly recommend Craig and have him back to housesit again.
Craig watched my home and my pets for a full week while I was out of town. He communicated clearly leading up to the sit and asked questions. During the sit, I received updates every day with videos and photos. It was clear from day one that my pets felt very comfortable with Craig - it usually takes a couple days for them to warm up, so I immediately was able to release any worry and enjoy my trip. Craig was able to give one of my cats gabapentin twice a day. He was able to navigate my pets personalities - they wrestle a lot and are both quite needy. When my neighbors needed to borrow something, Craig was able to help, which I really appreciated! My home was spotless when I returned and my pets were very happy.

Schedule
While I will be house-sitting for you I will be managing my private Language School online. I will always have time to take care of the homes that I sit for as well as the pets regular routine. I always try my best to maintain the same pet schedule.
