Safety, trust & environment

My dogs and cat are very well taken care of. They eat 2x a day and are able to get a couple walks in throughout the day, weather permitted. They sleep in the bed with us and are allowed on the furniture, as we treat them as part of the family. However, if you are not comfortable with this we are open to accommodations, as well.

Information Courtney Y. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know ahead of time if your pet has any special accommodations or medical needs. I have no issue with administrating medication or giving them their own special space if they are overwhelmed. I would also like to know ahead of time whether your fur baby has any aggression issues or separation anxiety. I also need to know if they occasionally get into anything or damage property, as this is essential to know about for safety reasons. Please be honest & be descriptive as possible , as I want to ensure that the safety of my son, my pets, and your pet(s) are top priority. This will ensure that your pet has the best experience in my home as I will be able accommodate properly to their needs. It’s important to list any triggers such as quick movements, small animals, loud noises, etc are noted so I can accommodate as well. It’s important to me that I keep my pets safe & healthy, therefore, I do require that all dogs & cats are up to date on their vaccinations. I do not allow choke collars when I take them on walks, so in order for me to provide daily exercise, if your dog requires it, please provide another collar or harness. I recommend a front lead harness or regular harness if your dog likes to constantly pull. I strive to offer flexible and convenient pick-up and drop-off times for my clients, which ideally I would like to keep the times between 10am to 8:30pm. However, I understand that schedules vary, so I am happy to accommodate as best as I can, earlier or later times upon request. With that being said, I kindly ask that clients adhere to their scheduled times, please be punctual or provide advance notice, if adjustments are needed. I am often the one handling drop off and pick up, but rarely if I have an medical appointment or drop in client to attend to around the time you have selected my husband will be home to help coordinate. I will always notify if he will be the one helping.

A typical day

I love to provide stimulation for dogs, especially those that are high energy. Whether that’s fun games consisting of treats or playing fetch. I go on daily 2-3 mile runs everyday, so if your fur baby has all the energy in the world, he’s welcome to tag along. I just ask that you provide a proper harness (front lead for those that pull a lot) to ensure safety. I can provide as many walks and for however long, as you’d like. We understand that this is the best way to let go off that built up energy & it helps ground an anxious & energetic pup.

Dependable, Reliable Animal Lover

Pet care experience

I have volunteered at a variety of animal shelters since the age of 9. The tasks were similar at all of the shelters I had volunteered at; such as, walking, administering medication/supplements, feedings, cleaning kennels and providing all the love I can give. I have several years of experience with working with wolves and wolf dogs at a sanctuary. Therefore, analyzing and identifying animal behavior traits is something I take pride in. It’s important to know how to identify animal behavior characteristics to be able to accommodate to a pet’s specific needs. I have taken several veterinary assistant and animal classes in high school and college as well as previously worked for an animal hospital for a couple years. I have experience handling and owning horses, rabbits, turkeys, pigs, lambs, goats, dogs and cats. Therefore, no animal is too big or small for me to handle. I am very prompt, self-driven, organized and I love schedules. I have experience with dogs that are blind, deaf and that have digestive conditions. Therefore, I know the importance of making a safe environment, as well as, ensuring that they are not given any table scraps or treats that are not authorized by the owner(s). I can provide as much or as little exercise the owner would like, just be sure to let me know. I like to keep the pet’s routine as close as to what they are used to, to make their time in my home enjoyable.

Courtney was fantastic! She took incredible care of my pup Benito, who got to play so much and came home completely worn out and happy. I loved getting the updates and seeing how much fun they were having. I highly recommend Courtney and will definitely book her again! Thank you so much!! 🙏❤️❤️
