Pet care experience

Cannot wait to meet your pets :)

I’ve spent most of my life around dogs with wildly different personalities and energy levels: from a Saint Bernard who treats walks like they’re in stop and go traffic to negotiating with a Bulldog who thinks the sidewalk is the perfect place to sleep. My parents travel a lot, so many weeks out of the year I'm the primary caregiver to an 11-year-old anxious, caring Lab, an 8-year-old Saint Bernard who thinks she weighs 30 pounds (she is actually 140), and a 6-year-old stubborn, smushy English Bulldog. That being said, I’ve cared for animals of all sizes and ages, also including dachshunds, cockapoos, frenchies, cats, and bunnies too. I love getting to know every animal’s quirks. I’m comfortable with big dogs, puppies, multiple-pet households, and anxious dogs who have specialized needs. I'm great at sneakily giving medications and understand the sometimes odd habits our dogs may fall into. I love exploring Brooklyn on foot, so I’m excited to see more of the city through the eyes of your pets. Outside the city, I love hiking and camping; I love any reason to get outdoors. I'm a runner, so I’m great for energetic dogs who need a longer walk (or even a jog) but I’m equally happy watching older or more sluggish pets because I’m always looking for a reason to slow down.

Safety, trust & environment

As a substitute teacher, I’m used to being adaptable and calm in unpredictable situations. I know it’s a big deal to trust someone with your pet, so I approach every visit with care. I follow instructions closely, prioritize leash safety and sticking to routines, and make sure pets feel safe during every walk or drop-in. I’m especially patient with anxious pets and always prioritize their comfort. I send consistent updates so you know how your pet is doing. I get excited about each visit’s small wins and always want to share those with you!

Dog Walking • Jun 26, 2026

We love Courtney!!! The absolute best dog walker - our dog loves her, she’s so communicative and reliable, and we get so many dog pictures from her walks. Would recommend to Courtney to everyone!

Courtney has walked and watched our dachshund, Miso, many times, and I can’t recommend her highly enough! Miso is quite anxious, and Courtney has always been incredibly patient and very good with her and manages her quirks really well. Our Brooklyn neighborhood is hectic, with lots of dogs, cars, and bikes, so having a dog walker we fully trust with Miso is so important to us. Courtney has helped us in a pinch many times and is truly a lifesaver. Most importantly, Miso absolutely adores her and gets so excited every time she sees her. I would 100% recommend Courtney to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dependable dog walker or sitter!

Courtney has always had a love for animals. We have 3 dogs, a St. Bernard, a Chocolate Lab, and a Bulldog, quite the mix and a handful, to say the least. We travel often and Courtney watches all 3 dogs for me. They love when she visits and she gives them so much attention, kisses and hugs. She is a perfect friend for your pet when they need a little extra care and company. Highly recommend Courtney.

Courtney has taken care of my cat several times while I've been out of town over the past five years. She's responsible, communicative, detail-oriented, and kind, and great at respecting my cat's fairly firm boundaries; my cat doesn't trust many people, but she trusts Courtney and is thrilled to see her when I'm out. Highly recommend her services!

Schedule

I currently work part-time at a high school in Brooklyn as a substitute teacher. I’m available for walks and drop-ins throughout Greenpoint, Williamsburg, and nearby neighborhoods along the G. My schedule is super flexible throughout the day and evening. I’m used to structured routines, so I’m especially open to recurring walks and consistent visits to build strong relationships with your pets, but I’m also always happy to accommodate last-minute requests. I’d love to find a schedule that works well for you and your dog.
