Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Dogs have been part of my household since I was a baby, so I’ve grown up caring for dogs of all ages, personalities, and temperaments. As an adult, I’ve spent many years pet sitting and have been lucky enough to build lasting relationships with the families and pets I care for. I’ve cared for some of the same families’ pets through different stages of their lives, and many have truly become like family. I understand the trust that comes with caring for someone’s pets and home while they’re away. I have experience with puppies, senior pets, timid or anxious dogs, multiple-pet households, and pets requiring medication or specialized care. I’m comfortable following individual routines and providing whatever each pet needs, whether that’s walks, enrichment, extra patience, or some extra cuddles. I treat every pet like my own and can send regular photos and updates so you can feel reassured that they’re happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.

We have really enjoyed having Courtney as our pet caregiver. We were nervous to leave our dog (Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix) home, but Courtney immediately reassured us by giving not only excellent and loving care to our dog, but to our two guinea pigs as well. Courtney is very reliable and responsible and has a sweet, kind and caring way with animals. We highly recommend her to anyone needing care for their furry friends!
Courtney has assisted me with both cats and dogs over the past 10 years. She is always timely and very dependable. My pets all love her and you can tell she loves animals too. They are very well taken care of. Also it is commendable that she cleans up after the pets. She also was responsible with giving shots to my cat with diabetes. I highly recommend her!

Schedule
I work a flexible remote job, which allows me to build my schedule around each pet’s routine. I can adjust my hours and work from virtually anywhere, so I’m able to accommodate specific mealtimes, potty breaks, walks, medications, and any other needs your pet has throughout the day.

Safety, trust & environment
In my home, pets enjoy a safe, calm environment. I have no kids and no pets, so all undivided attention can go towards your fur babies. I can crate if needed, but I prefer to keep pets comfortable and use crating only when it aligns with their normal routine. In a client’s home, I follow your pet’s established schedule to keep everything consistent and stress-free. I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and comfort so they feel secure while you’re away. I also handle standard house-sitting duties, including tidying up, taking out the trash, bringing in mail or packages, and picking up waste in the yard. My goal is to leave your home just as you left it.
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to tailor each day to their age, energy level, personality, and overall comfort. Some pets are happiest cuddling up on the couch and relaxing, while others are ready for a long walk and lots of playtime! I live near Fort Greene Park, so for dogs who enjoy getting out and exploring, walks and time outside are a favorite part of the day. For pets staying in my home, I also like to incorporate enrichment games, playtime, and plenty of opportunities to relax and settle in.
