Pet care experience

Senior dog mom & animal lover

Hi, I'm Courtney! I'm a lifelong animal lover and proud PNW resident based in Shoreline who truly believes pets are family, not just pets. I share my home with my senior dog Lily, and recently said goodbye to my sweet boy Philip after many wonderful years together. Caring for them both — including managing their medications and navigating the challenges that come with senior pet care — has made me a deeply attentive and compassionate caregiver for animals of all ages. I've spent many years walking, sitting for, and looking after dogs of all sizes, from small and scrappy to big and boisterous. I love being active and outdoors — hiking and exploring everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer is one of my favorite things, especially with my dogs by my side. That means your pup will get a walker who is genuinely energized by every outing, rain or shine. Whether they need a brisk 30-minute walk or a longer 60-minute adventure through the neighborhood, I'm here for it. Cats are equally close to my heart. I had one of my own and have cared for many friends' and family's cats over the years, so your independent (or not-so-independent!) feline will be in very comfortable, familiar hands during drop-in visits. As a current student with a flexible schedule, I have real availability. I'm reliable, communicative, and will always send updates so you know exactly how your pet is doing. Your pet deserves someone who will love them like their own. That's exactly what I'm here to do. 🐾

Safety, trust & environment

Since I provide care in your pet's own home, my top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and as unstressed as possible, because familiar surroundings make all the difference, especially for senior pets or those with anxiety. I follow your routines closely, whether that's feeding schedules, medication timing, sleep spots, or preferred walking routes. I treat every home I enter with respect and care, and I make sure all doors, gates, and leashes are secure before any outing. I'm experienced with administering medications and will never skip or guess on a dose. You'll always get updates with photos so you can see for yourself that your pet is happy and well.

My cat said, even though Courtney has dogs, she totally got me. Courtney tuned into our kitty’s personality immediately. They had twice daily dialogues and got along perfectly. Courtney is a gem. Responsive and extremely caring.

Courtney is an incredible dog mom and an all-around animal lover. She has two dogs of her own who are deeply loved, which speaks volumes about her responsibility. She has such a natural connection with dogs and brings the same warmth and excitement to looking after other people's pets as she does to her own pups. I am confident your dog will be in the best possible hands with her!

Courtney is an incredibly caring, responsible, and attentive pet caregiver. As the owner of two happy, healthy, and well-behaved dogs, she understands the commitment, patience, and love that great pet care requires. She has a natural ability to connect with animals and is both confident and compassionate in any situation. I would trust Courtney to care for my own pets without hesitation, knowing they would be safe, well cared for, and genuinely loved in her hands.

Schedule

Pet care is genuinely central to my daily routine. My senior dog Lily needs walks, attention, and medications multiple times a day, so I'm already in a consistent rhythm of animal care every single day. As a student with a flexible schedule, I have wide availability throughout the week and can accommodate morning, midday, and afternoon visits. I'm not juggling a rigid 9-to-5, which means I can be reliably present for your pet when it matters most.

The more I know about your pet ahead of time, the better I can care for them! I'd love to know about any medications they take, including dosages and timing, as I'm experienced with administering both oral and other types of meds. It's also helpful to know about any allergies, dietary restrictions, or foods to avoid. If your pet has any fears, triggers, or quirks around other dogs, strangers, or loud noises, please share those so I can keep walks and visits feeling safe and calm. For dogs, let me know their leash manners and whether they tend to pull or react on leash. For senior pets or those with health conditions, any context about their limitations or special needs is really important to me. And honestly, the little things matter too, like favorite toys, preferred cuddle spots, whether they're a velcro pet or more independent, and any routines that help them feel at home. I want your pet to feel like they're with someone who truly knows them.
